Jennifer Aniston Labelled A Hypocrite After Refusing Mom’s Ashes, Is Her Marriage Suffering?

It was no secret that Jennifer Ansiton did not get along with her mother Nancy Dow, who recently passed away. The Friends star and her mother had been estranged for years when Dow passed at the age of 79, earlier this year. Of course due to the strained relationship, it has been expected that attention be paid to how Aniston has behaved following the death of her mother, and as to whether she is grieving.

Of course tabloids have jumped at the opportunity to paint a negative picture of Aniston even when it comes to death and loss. The latest rumors include Aniston having been cut out of Dow’s will and therefore snubbing her mother in death by not accepting the former actress’ ashes. In Touch has drummed up this story and shared the apparent details from a supposed source on the issue.

“Jennifer Aniston’s on-going feud with her mother, Nancy Dow, didn’t end when the 79-year-old passed away — as In Touch previously reported, the 47-year-old managed to snub her mom even in death as she refused to accept her late mom’s ashes. And now, the Friends star is being labeled a hypocrite for her actions.”

The tabloid then even goes on to compare the manner that Jen mourned the loss of her dog over that of her mom, suggesting she is heartless when it comes to Dow, even after her mother has died.

“Someone tried to say Jen thinks having the ashes around her home is morbid; that it’s not her style. But then how do you explain the fact that she tattooed her late dog Norman’s name on her body? She’ll honor her dog but not her mom? Jen not wanting the remains shows she still has no closure.”

It’s also being noted that Jen and Justin are now enduring turmoil in their relationship. The two recently reached their one year anniversary and there was no known celebration for the big event, which of course led to tabloids speculating that there is trouble in the marriage. However, as Gossip Cop reminds, Jennifer Aniston is very private about her personal life and has made it known that she wants respect for that privacy. It is therefore very likely that the two celebrated, just in a way that was for them and not for members of the paparazzi.

As for the rumors about Jen’s reaction to her mother’s death, Gossip Cop also relays that Aniston was not in any way disrespectful to her mother. Jen in fact, gave a statement indicating her sadness and devastation over the loss of her mother, despite their differences, as People shares.

“It is with great sadness that my brother John and I announce the passing of our Mother Nancy Dow. She was 79 years old and passed peacefully surrounded by family and friends after enduring a long illness. We ask that our family’s privacy be respected as we grieve our loss.”

Dow suffered from a stroke in 2011 which she never fully recovered from. Her ongoing illness was tough on all of the star’s family members. A friend close to the star was sure to relay the true sadness that Aniston had over her mother’s passing, and about their ongoing difficulties in their relationship.

“No matter how complicated and difficult the relationship between Nancy and Jennifer may have been, it is heartbreaking for any daughter to lose her mother. Nancy fought a very long battle, with many ups and downs, and Jennifer is grateful for the happy times they shared. She is pulling close to her husband and family and feels so supported by their love.”

Jen clearly had a bitter sweet relationship with her mother in the final decades of their time together, stating that her mother is a beautiful person, yet very critical, prior to Dow’s death.
