Britney Spears Music Video Quickly Pulled For Being Too Raunchy, See The Petition To Bring Back The Original

Britney Spears’ ninth studio album will be released on August 26 and it has already started to create a stir amongst her fans. Glory, Britney’s latest album, features a song titled “Make Me” whose video turned out to be controversial because the pop star was shown writhing on the floor dressed only in underwear and smeared with a red paint, while a number of half-naked men surround her.

The controversial version of the video was quietly scrapped after being accused of being overly sexual and a new version was released to the media. However, the original version of the sensual video has been leaked online and Britney’s many fans are eager to catch a glimpse of the scrapped version of the video. Now, more than 15,000 fans of Britney Spears have filed a petition on Change.org to compel the singer to release the original version of the video of “Make Me.” The petition currently has more than 15,600 signatures.

According to Heat Street, Britney Spears herself was not comfortable with the video that was shot by photographer David LaChapelle.

In Britney’s opinion, David’s art direction was flawed as it was not in line with the gist of the song. In fact, even the pop star herself found the video to be too raunchy. Eventually, Britney Spears replaced David LaChapelle with Randee St. Nicholas to film a new video for “Make Me.”

Britney Spears’s fans have been somewhat surprised that the “Pretty Girls” singer found the video to be too raunchy since the singer has not shied away from being controversial in the past. A few years ago, Britney Spears had everyone talking when she kissed Madonna at the MTV Video Music Awards ceremony. Later, in addition to performing while draped with an albino Burmese python, Britney went on to perform a striptease on three different VMA ceremonies.

Apart from featuring the song “Make Me,” Britney’s new album Glory also includes songs like “Clumsy” and “Private Show.” According to Billboard, “Clumsy” has been officially released and it has received good reviews from Britney’s fans.

The song may prove to be a hit club song and is reminiscent of Britney’s classic singles from the past.

In fact, fans might get another glimpse of Britney’s upcoming album when the pop star joins James Corden on The Late Late Show. Britney Spears has revealed that she will be featuring in the popular segment called Carpool Karaoke in which the guest celebrity enjoys a ride with James Corden while singing popular songs.

Many celebrities have appeared on the popular segment before Britney Spears to try their hand at singing popular numbers. In fact, earlier episodes of Carpool Karaoke have become popular on the internet, some even going viral, so Britney Spears’ upcoming performance on the show may be a good opportunity for the “Toxic” singer to connect with her fans.

The singer has already started her efforts to promote the upcoming episode on Twitter by posting a photo that was shot with James Corden. Even though it is known that Britney is going to appear on The Late Late Show, the diva is yet to reveal the songs that she will be singing in the Carpool Karaoke segment that will be aired on August 25, a day before the release of her upcoming album. According to the Telegraph, it is speculated that Britney might not sing songs from her upcoming album as the songs are yet to gain popularity in the music charts.

Instead, the pop queen will be more inclined to sing her earlier hits like “Baby One More Time” and “Oops! I Did It Again.” Ultimately, fans will love to hear whichever of the innumerable Britney Spears’ hit songs, especially songs that were produced in collaboration with artists like Will.I.Am.
