Kelsey Grammer Confesses He Should Have Admitted To Cheating Sooner

Kelsey Grammer admitted he should have been honest with ex-wife Camille a lot sooner. The Cheers star stated during an interview with Anderson Cooper that he should have come clean about meeting another woman long before reality show television cameras began rolling.

The veteran television performer also noted that he should have come straight home from England after meeting Kayte Walsh and informed Camille about his decision to leave the marriage, Radar Online reports.

Grammer had this to say during the Anderson Cooper interview:

“I was trying to pretend things were normal for the sake of letting her have that moment. It was just ill advised. I thought I could do something nice, some parting thing and so it was very painful and uncomfortable. It was uncomfortable for Kayte, it was uncomfortable for all of us.”

While baring his soul, Grammer also noted that he should have explained to Camille how he felt the marriage hadn’t been working for a long time, presumably before the television star fell for his new significant other. Real Housewives of Beverly Hills fans may recall that Camille filed for divorce from Kelsey in 2010 during the first season of the Bravo reality show. The split has become known as one of the most bitter divorces in recent Hollywood history. The marriage did not formally end until 2011.

The ink was barely dry on Camille and Kelsey’s divorce decree when the actor escorted his fourth wife down the aisle.

The Boss star also had this to say during the CNN interview:

“I can’t spend my life apologizing. We make mistakes in life, hopefully with people that know how to forgive.”

Grammer, 57, also touched briefly on Kayte Walsh’s miscarriage earlier this year. The male baby passed away, but daughter Faith Evangeline Elisa Grammer is doing well.
