Chrissy Teigen Snapchat Stretch Marks Close-Up, ‘Keeping It Real’ Four Months After John Legend And Teigen’s Baby Girl Born

There’s way too much body-shaming on the Internet and some stars are fighting back hard. First, Gigi Hadid and the skinny shamers had a round in the social media ring as Gigi found herself getting attacked because some people thought she was too skinny. The 21-year-old amateur boxer “shut down” the haters with a great comeback that didn’t pull any punches. According to Yahoo News, Gigi said that “bodies change as girls become women,” and assured everyone that she loved her body as a 17-year-old, just as she loves her body now.

While Hadid’s skinny shamers got what they asked for after making a big deal about the supermodel’s svelte looks, another model was showing off her real-life body flaws. Chrissy Teigen, 30, took to Snapchat on August 16 to tell it like it is. ET! Online reports that Teigen is “definitely not afraid to poke fun at her body’s imperfections,” and was was completely honest about stuff that a lot of people will go to any lengths to hide. She posted a funny video to her Snapchat account, inviting followers to laugh along with her as she had fun sharing close-ups of her thighs Chrissy more or less described her thighs as a landscape with rivers and creeks feeding into the main waterways, and captioned the pic with a crying face emoji.

“Lol my thighs have tributaries.”

The Huffington Post says we all love to love Chrissy Teigen and her down-to-earth, “hilarious” style that makes sure the model always keeps it “the absolute realist.” Kim Kardashian may be obsessed with Snapchat documenting her progress as she loses weight and regains the firm flesh she boasted before giving birth to her son, Saint, last December, but Teigen is okay with sharing the new-mom body on Instagram and Snapchat and anywhere else she feels like. Chrissy figures a few tributaries in her legs are worth it after she gave birth only four months ago. Teigen and John Legend’s baby girl, Luna, was born in April, so it’s pretty normal for Chrissy to have leftover marks from the pregnancy. She doesn’t mind at all and tells her Snapchat fans to take it easy on themselves when it comes to post-baby body image.

“You just realize you have to give yourself time and understand that you push out a baby, and it took this long to put on the weight, and it’s not going to peel right off, and that’s OK.”

Chrissy went on to say that women “shouldn’t have to rush to shed anything,” and that baby is way more important than baby weight.

“It’s OK! It’s fine. Enjoy your baby. Don’t go crazy.”

Teigen has always been comfortable with showing off her “less glamorous side,” and the thigh pic wasn’t the first time Chrissy has posted some goofy photos of her flaws online. Shortly before baby Luna was born, while mom was negotiating corners of her home with her pregnant belly getting in the way, Chrissy shared another thigh pic. On that occasion, she sat cross-legged on the counter to “proudly display” the bruise marks that decorated her skin after one too many collisions with the kitchen drawers.

Bruises from bumping kitchen drawer handles for a week… Stretchies say hi!”

Chrissy’s Instagram fans loved her honesty and flooded the comments section with their supportive responses, and “to praise Teigen for keeping it real.” One fan sent her love with a thank you to Chrissy.”Wow thank you for this, you’ve have boosted my self-esteem Love you @chrissyteigen #SouthAfrica.”

Teigen and Legend are ecstatically happy to be parents, and happy to Snapchat about it, stretch marks and all. Recently, John talked about just how much he loves his new daughter.

“Knowing that it was so important to us, I was pretty excited from the beginning, but once she came out and she was actually a real thing that we could hug and love and see her develop, it’s pretty powerful. It is a pretty powerful emotion to see the product of your love right there in front of you.”
