Kelly Dodd Admits To Anger Management Issues: ‘The Show Is Called REAL Housewives’

Kelly Dodd may have been showing her calmer side on The Real Housewives of Orange County during the first couple of episodes, but she completely lost her cool during Monday’s episode of the show. Dodd, who has been angry with Shannon Beador over rumors that she gives out sexual favors for money, lost her cool during a dinner for Meghan King Edmonds, as the ladies were celebrating her upcoming pregnancy. Dodd wasn’t happy with the insinuation that she was a prostitute and she made the night a living hell for her co-stars.

According to a new Bravo report, Kelly Dodd is now revealing how she feels months later. It is clear that she doesn’t exactly condone her own behavior and she reveals in her Bravo blog for The Real Housewives of Orange County that her daughter didn’t watch the episode. Her daughter, Jolie, will never watch that episode or the reunion special, where rumors of her being a prostitute will be brought up. However, Dodd does admit that she can’t handle her anger and that she does have a problem with controlling her emotions.

“The show is called REAL Housewives. It’s real when I said I have anger management problems. My faults were on full display in this week’s episode. This was me at my worst,” Kelly Dodd writes in her blog for Bravo, which is exactly what Meghan King Edmonds said about her friend, as she had never seen that side of Dodd.

Dodd admits that she looked crazy on The Real Housewives of Orange County and she doesn’t want her daughter to see the episode. Kelly points out that she’s actually happy that Jolie isn’t in school and that her friends won’t be talking to her about the episode this week. She points out that she had to actually call Jolie’s friends’ parents to ask them not to let the children watch the episode.

“I acted like a raving lunatic. I admit I was wrong in many ways. I was embarrassed by my hysterical rants. I embarrassed my family and everybody involved. I want to apologize again here to Shannon and Tamra for the horrible names I called them,” Kelly Dodd explains, adding that she was wrong in calling Shannon an ugly name but that Beador should take accountability for her actions — which she believes is setting her up.

Kelly Dodd was shocked that Tamra Judge would get involved in the fight, but she got caught in the crossfire. But Kelly did appreciate Judge’s advice about being able to dish it out and taking the feedback she’s getting. It’s no secret that Dodd has said things that have been offensive for the other ladies, even though she meant them as jokes.

“Tamra jumped in and said if I dish it out, I have to be able to take it. She is right. When I called Tamra a dumb f***, it was a case of ready, aim, fire. I should have directed my anger at Shannon, but Tamra got caught in the crossfire. I regret having said that to Tamra. To Tamra’s credit though, she is resilient and forgiving. She bounced right back and didn’t hold a grudge,” Dodd explains in her blog for Bravo, pointing out that she should be able to take it if she can dish it out.

At the end of her blog, Kelly talked about Heather Dubrow’s decision to walk out of the dinner and call her husband in tears. According to People, Heather was so shocked at Kelly’s behavior that she called her husband, broke down and learned that she shouldn’t associate with that kind of person. It will be interesting to see what happens as the season progresses.

What do you think of Kelly Dodd’s comments about her behavior? Do you think her anger was justified or do you think she has a problem?
