Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber may appear to have moved on from each other now that the Canadian pop star has found a new girlfriend, but a series of comments on Instagram has ignited a feud between the former lovers. However, things got worse when Zayn Malik was dragged into the controversy after Bieber hinted the former 1D member had an affair with the 24-year-old singer while she was still dating the 22-year-old Grammy Award winner.
It all began when Bieber’s followers started sending negative remarks about his girlfriend, Sofia Richie. According to NBC News, the “Sorry” hitmaker deleted more than 3,700 posts before he finally closed his account on Instagram. He even warned his fans that he would make his account private if they didn’t stop the hate, but they continued to post negative comments about Ms. Richie. Adding fuel to the fire, even his ex-girlfriend joined in the mean posts.
The former Disney star hinted that her former lover cheated on her multiple times, but he retaliated by revealing Gomez’s affair with the former One Direction member. After the Canadian pop star’s comment, the “Same Old Love” hitmaker allegedly dropped out of the conversation. The Instagram thread had already been deleted, but some fans claimed they were able to get a screenshot of the conversation.
Amid the cheating rumors, Zayn Malik finally broke his silence on the alleged affair with Selena Gomez, who was dating Justin Bieber back then. The 23-year-old English musician is currently in a relationship with Gigi Hadid, and he reportedly assured his girlfriend that the accusations were not true.
“The only woman on Zayn’s mind is Gigi, and he’s made it clear to her as well that nothing ever happened between him and Selena,” an insider told HollywoodLife.com. “Zayn thinks the cheating rumor is ridiculous. He’s only ever been friends with Selena and that’s it.”
“If he had asked me out on a date, I would be seen with him. Just kidding, but not kidding,” she said with a sly smile.
The songstress also revealed the weird things she encountered during her dates, such as a guy Googling her before they meet. She also confessed that she would love to date older men. Maybe she got tired of dealing with young and often immature guys like her ex-boyfriend.
After the brunette beauty’s comment on dating the former 1D member, there were reports that Zayn Malik’s girlfriend, Gigi Hadid, wanted to go on a double date with Selena Gomez and Justin Bieber. The “Love Yourself” hitmaker shared a throwback picture of himself with his on-and-off girlfriend together which started rumors that they are reuniting.
“Justin is not shutting out his beliebers. He’s thankful everyday for y’all, y’all got him here.. He doesn’t forget that.. Period,” Richie wrote.
Lionel Richie’s daughter also posted a message that could be addressed to Selena Gomez. “#purposetour is still on… The music is still coming.. Love who you want… Stop the damn hate… And love each other!!”
Despite the haters, Nicole Richie’s sister continued to share adorable photos of herself with her boyfriend on Instagram. However, she seems to have disabled the comment section, which prevents people from leaving any negative remarks on her photos.
Selena Gomez, on the other hand, captioned her Instagram photo, “Nobody loves me like you do.”
