Is Miranda Lambert’s New Album Coming Soon? Plus, She Would Reportedly ‘Welcome A Showdown’ With Gwen Stefani

Miranda Lambert released her first post-divorce single, “Vice,” weeks ago, so where is her new album?

Although Miranda Lambert and her label have stayed mum on the release date for her upcoming sixth studio album, rumors have been swirling claiming it will be titled Records I Never Heard.

During an interview last month, via Taste of Country, Miranda Lambert said she has been hard at work on new music and hoped to release at least a couple of tracks by mid-summer.

“I’ve really worked since last summer just writing and recording, so no one is more excited than me to have the next thing come through and show off what I’ve been doing,” Miranda Lambert told reporters at the 2016 Country Music Awards Music Festival in Nashville, Tennessee. “I know I’ve kind of been ‘not around,’ but I’ve been around. I’m getting really close, and hopefully by mid-summer we’ll have some new music people can hear.”

While Miranda Lambert did release “Vice,” she has yet to release any new tunes since the song’s July 18 debut.

In other Miranda Lambert news, the 32-year-old country singer, who is currently dating R&B singer Anderson East, is said to be at war with Gwen Stefani due to the 46-year-old’s relationship and constant PDA with Lambert’s ex-husband, Blake Shelton.

“New fight over Blake: Miranda finally takes on Gwen,” reads a headline on the latest issue of In Touch Weekly.

“[Miranda Lambert] believes she’s been portrayed as the bad guy in her breakup with Blake and feels Gwen’s contributed to that public perception,” an insider revealed to In Touch Weekly magazine.

Miranda Lambert and Blake Shelton ended their marriage in July 2015 after four years, and months later, Shelton and Stefani, who divorced husband Gavin Rossdale in August 2015, began dating and flaunting their love for one another on The Voice Season 9.

“[Miranda Lambert] would welcome a showdown with Gwen, to get everything in the open once and for all,” the insider explained.

As Miranda Lambert’s alleged feud with Gwen Stefani continues, she and Anderson East, who hails from Alabama, are going strong. After making their Instagram debut in January, the couple made their red carpet debut in April at the Academy of Country Music Awards in Las Vegas, at which point a source claimed they were “serious.”

“Whenever they are together they act like two free spirits…[Miranda Lambert] adores Anderson,” an E! News source revealed. “They understand each other. Anderson has given Miranda this confidence she hasn’t felt in some time. They are very supportive with each other and their careers.”

“Anderson and [Miranda Lambert] are serious,” added the source. “They have met both sides of their families. Both their families love what they have. They seem like they are in such a great place. They spend so much time together. They are also very involved with Miranda’s animals. That’s a big part of her life and Anderson is a huge animal lover.”

While Miranda Lambert and Anderson East’s relationship may be serious, they have been quite busy in recent months, which has likely led to a few challenges. In addition to serving as the opening act on Kenny Chesney’s “Spread the Love Tour,” Miranda Lambert is currently in the midst of a tour of her own, the “Keeper of the Flame Tour,” which will keep her on the road until next month.
