Aaron Paul From ‘Breaking Bad’ Interviews ‘Stranger Things’ Star Millie Bobby Brown

Breaking Bad star Aaron Paul really loves the recent hit Netflix show Stranger Things, so much so that he chose to interview the show’s star, Millie Bobby Brown, in Elle Magazine. Paul played drug addict turned drug maker Jesse Pinkman on Breaking Bad, and Brown played the mysterious young girl on Stranger Things.

So, there is life after Breaking Bad for Aaron Paul. Unlike his co-star on that show Bryan Cranston, Aaron has yet to be nominated for an Oscar. But he did win three Emmys for Breaking. However, his latest show, The Path, which is about a Scientology-like cult, did not do nearly as well as Breaking Bad with viewers, but it has been renewed for a second season.

Paul can also be heard as the voice of one of the characters on the Netflix original cartoon series, BoJack Horseman.

And his wife, actress Lauren Parsekian, loves the show too. Aaron told Millie that he and his wife could’t stop talking about Stranger Things.

“My wife and I are constantly talking about you. We’re constantly saying, Her parents must be so proud! To be honest, we wish that you were our child.”

For the record Paul, who is 36 years old and Parsekian, who is 29, have been married for three years and have no children as of yet.

The Breaking Bad star opened the interview by professing his love and admiration for the young actress.

“First of all, I love you. I have to start this off by saying that I’m just such a massive fan of yours. I mean, really, from one actor to another, I have such incredible respect for you. I really admire your work.”

Brown responded that she was “literally tearing up.”

The Stranger Things star was also touched when Aaron Paul asked her what it was like playing what he described as “one of the greatest characters to have ever graced the small screen,” and her answer showed it.

“It’s actually incredible to hear that from another actor. You know, it was just something that sort of—it’s very overwhelming in the best way, I think. Obviously I am very grateful for it. I had a feeling—you know, myself, [the co-creators] the Duffer brothers, and the whole cast all knew what we wanted to achieve with this show.”

Far from Breaking Bad, Stranger Things is about a group of kids about 12 years of age who need to work together to try and find out what became of their missing friend. They also meet and befriend a strange girl who has some sort of telekinetic powers. Little do they know that she was also involved in the boy’s disappearance.

The show’s creators, brothers Matt and Ross Duffer, were clearly influenced by Steven Spielberg. The show feels like a darker version of ET. It is set in the early 1980s and is a real treat for anyone who is of the generation of its young main characters, give or take a few years.

It may be a horror program, but it is not too graphic or scary as to prevent younger kids from watching the show. The age of eight might be a good cut off.

The show also stars two former 1980s teen movie idols. Winona Ryder, now 45 years old, plays Joyce Byers, mother of the missing boy. And Matthew Modine, who is 57, plays the sinister Dr. Martin Brenner.

Millie Bobby Brown’s character is simply called Eleven.

Aaron Paul likes Stranger Things so much that he has publicly thanked the show’s creators with Tweets.

Most of the interview should not be read until you have seen the entire eight-episode season of Stranger Things since it is riddled with spoilers and questions that you would not understand if you did not see it yet.

Aaron did make sure to let his wife Lauren get on the phone too. Lauren Paul told Millie Bobby Brown that she has a crush on the young actress.

“GIRL! You’re just the best. You were my Woman Crush Wednesday on Instagram yesterday.”

Paul can next be seen in the new movie The 9th Life of Louis Drax, which is due out in theaters on September 2. Aaron has also been heavily promoting this movie with multiple postings on Twitter.

The film is a thriller about a psychologist who works with a young boy who recently suffered a traumatic event. It also stars Jamie Dornan, Aiden Longworth, Sarah Gadon, and Molly Parker.

It is directed by Alexandre Aja and is based on the novel by Liz Jensen.
