‘Fast and Furious 8’ Cast Posts Happy Group Photo With Vin Diesel And Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Amid Rumors Of Feud

The Fast and Furious 8 cast seems to want you to think that everything is all good with them, despite what you may have heard about a beef between Vin Diesel and Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson.

Us Weekly reports that the cast shared a group photo on Facebook, which included Vin and The Rock, and everyone is all smiles. However, Johnson is strategically positioned far away from Vin Diesel. The photo was posted on Friday August 12, the day that filming wrapped on the newest installment in the film franchise.

The photo was also accompanied by a long Facebook status which promised that they’ll “be back in December with your first look at what we’ve created for you.”

The post also thanked Vin Diesel for his work as a producer on Fast And Furious 8. “Thank you, Vin, who has been at the wheel since this journey began, first as star and then as producer.” The Facebook post then gives a shout out to some of the individual cast members.

“And thanks to all of the cast of the eighth Fast: Michelle, who’s also been with us from the start….Those who’ve joined our family along the way: Tyrese and Chris from Miami in our second film; Dwayne and Elsa, who came on board in Rio in movie five; Jason, Nathalie and Kurt from last time around; and our newest members Charlize, Scott, Kristofer and Helen…. And our brother who continues to inspire us all, Paul.”

This positive Facebook post comes amid rumors that Dwayne Johnson and Vin Diesel did not get along at all on the Fast And Furious 8 set. As Us Weekly reports on August 8, The Rock published an Instagram post where he called out some of his male co-stars for being “candy a**es” and “chicken sh*t.” While Johnson praised the work that the female cast members were doing on set, he said he was calling out some of the men on the cast for not stepping up to the plate.

“My female co-stars are always amazing and I love ’em. My male co-stars however are a different story,” Johnson wrote.

“Some conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t. The ones that don’t are too chicken s**t to do anything about it anyway. Candy a**es.”

At first there was a lot of speculation as to who Dwayne Johnson could have been talking about. Until TMZ dropped the bombshell that it was probably Vin Diesel.

According to TMZ, The Rock and Vin Diesel had some heated encounters on set and needed to have a secret meeting in Atlanta to hash out their differences. Insider sources reportedly told TMZ that the two had differences of opinion on how the movie was being made.

“We’re told The Rock has butted heads with Vin during the production, in part because V.D. is a producer and has made decisions that didn’t sit well with the former wrestling champ,” the article stated. “Our sources say The Rock and Vin had a meeting on the Atlanta set mid-day Tuesday… partly because tensions were running so high it was almost impossible to shoot scenes.”

According to The Sun, Vin Diesel used a series of Facebook Live posts to insinuate that he would one day address the alleged dispute between him and Dwayne Johnson. “Just give me a second and I will tell you everything. Everything.” he says in one of the videos.

As The Sun notes, one of the videos was captioned: “So much has gone on this year. I can’t believe I wrapped two back to back pictures I both starred in and produced. Now I get to return to my family, my life… To me.”
