Lamar Odom may finally be ready to put his drug habit behind him and move forward with a healthy, happy life with his family in New York City.
For the past several months, Lamar Odom has reportedly been going off the deep end with drugs and alcohol but following a report last week, which suggested the former Los Angeles Lakers player was back in the gym and getting healthy, he has surfaced in the Big Apple looking to be doing much better.
In an Instagram video shared by Lamar Odom’s trainer, Oneil Pryce, on August 13, via Global Grind, Odom appeared to be back to the way fans are used to seeing him on Keeping Up With the Kardashians.

Although Lamar Odom left the E! reality series years ago after his marriage to Khloe Kardashian came to an end, he began appearing on the show again during Season 12 after Kardashian rushed to his side following his October 2015 overdose and continued to stick by him as he recovered.
While Kardashian offered support to Lamar Odom as he was released from the hospital in January and even rented him a mansion so that he could be closer to her and her family, the couple ultimately cut ties after Odom was linked back to drugs and alcohol.
Now, however, he is reportedly sober.
“From what I know [he’s not drinking], because right now he is focused and that is the state I have him in right now,” Pryce, owner and founder of Real Deal Fitness gym, revealed to Us Weekly earlier this month. “I have been letting him know that [this] is going to be a rough road, a hard road. And one thing he has to do is make sure that the partying, the drinking, all of that stuff, is going to be tough on his body. So right now, he has been drinking his water, staying low key and pretty much staying out of sight of everybody else, all of the negative stuff.”

Pryce reached out to Lamar Odom recently and quickly learned that the former professional athlete was hoping to get his life back together.
“He’s really trying hard and that is what we are working on right now … keeping his mental state high,” Pryce explained. “He has been through a lot. He [has] certain people around him that I am trying to get him away from, and just keeping him positive.”
As far as workouts go, Lamar Odom’s trainer said he was having to go “really, really easy” with Odom in order to build his strength back up. Although Lamar Odom looks to be in good shape, Pryce noted that his organs, namely his liver, kidney and heart, have been through a lot due to his drug use. That said, Pryce said Odom was making great strides, which will hopefully get him through his ongoing struggles.
Despite Lamar Odom seemingly being on a better path, rumors continue to swirl in regard to his possibly impending drug overdose. Most recently, Life & Style, via Starcasm, claimed Lamar Odom was “near death.” According to the report, Lamar Odom had once again found himself in the clenches of addiction and had been given just three months to live.
