Kris Jenner Developing ‘Keeping Up With the Kids’ Show About Grandchildren? Conflicting Reports Question Kardashian Spin-Off

Could the Kardashian family matriarch be developing a spin-off focusing on her grandchildren?

Well, that all depends on who you believe. If you listen to Life & Style magazine, then you would believe that Jenner is working to create a show called Keeping Up With the Kids. The show, similar in style to that of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, would theoretically follow the famous momager’s grandchildren.

Kris Jenner currently has five grandchildren, with another on the way. Her oldest daughter, Kourtney Kardashian, is mother to Mason Disick, 6, Penelope Disick, 4, and Reign Disick, 1, while Kim Kardashian is mother to North West, 3 and Saint West, 8 months. Jenner’s only son, Rob Kardashian, is currently expecting his first child with financé Blac Chyna.

According to Life & Style, the idea for a KUWTK spin-off focusing on the kids wasn’t well received by some. The magazine reports that Kanye West, father to North and Saint, “went went ballistic when he heard the idea and went straight over to Kris’ house to confront her.”

An unnamed source reportedly told Life & Style that Kanye is beyond furious at the idea of Keeping Up With the Kids.

“He accused her of trying to exploit North and Saint, and he doesn’t see this as an acceptable way to make a buck.”

The Life & Style story goes on to acknowledge that Kanye is angry, but the inside source reportedly told the magazine that Kris believes she’ll be able to change his mind. The magazine adds that Jenner has said she’s willing to wait until the children are older before the show goes into production.

The problem with the entire story? Well, according to Gossip Cop, the entire Life & Style report is “not true.” Gossip Cop called the story dramatic but said there’s not a shred of truth to the rumor.

“While a dramatic story, it is not remotely accurate. Jenner has not proposed a reality series called Keeping Up With The Kids about her grandchildren, and there was never a fight between her and West over the (non-existent) show.”

It’s no secret that Kanye West has never been a big fan of Keeping Up With the Kardashians, so it should come as no surprise that ‘Ye wouldn’t be excited about the prospect of his children filming a reality show of their own.

In fact, according to The Hollywood Gossip, Kim Kardashian recently spoke out about Kanye’s disdain for the show. At the BlogHer 16 Conference, Kardashian noted that Kanye values family privacy — especially when it comes to North and Saint.

In the same article, The Hollywood Gossip went on to remind readers that Kanye spoke out back in 2013 about why he doesn’t film scenes on Keeping Up With the Kardashians. West made the comments to Hot 97, The Hollywood Gossip reported.

“I don’t really do her show just because I don’t particularly like the way the producers shoot some of the shots.”

But when she spoke at BlogHer 16, Kim K indicated that West chooses not to shoot scenes for KUWTK for another reason.

“He’s very private even though he’s in the business and I’m very open, so he’s really taught me how to become a little bit more private and I’ve taught him about how to be a little bit more open.”

At the same time, Kim Kardashian made a comment that indicates that she might not be on board with a Keeping Up With the Kids spin-off.

“I definitely save that part of my home life and my life with my kids I try to hold on to.”
