Hugh Jackman Frail: Actor’s Instagram Post Attracts Concern And Online Trolls

Fans appear to be concerned over Hugh Jackman’s latest Instagram post. Meanwhile, online trolls have plagued his social media account in order to call him cruel names.

Hugh Jackman has some of his true fans concerned about his health after he shared a recent photo of himself on Instagram, in which he appears gaunt and frail. Many fans are wondering why Jackman looks the way that he does since he’s usually jacked up for his role of the Wolverine. It looks like Jackman’s latest appearance is not for a movie roll, according to a report via WonderWall.com.

Some fans have speculated that Hugh may still be having health issues due to his battle with skin cancer. But, others think he simply looks different to the heavy makeup he has to wear for his next Wolverine film. The photo below shows Hugh smiling brightly and giving the thumbs up sign, while listening to his red earphones and eating a large plate of cooked fish. Hugh is seen wearing a black anorak, a black T-shirt, and dark jeans.

“Now that’s what I’m talking about!” the actor captioned the photo. The photo shows Jackman not looking quite like himself. His smile seems sad to some fans and he clearly has bags under his eyes. The other photos on Jackman’s account don’t have the actor looking nearly as aged as in the above photo.

Many fans have defended the actor, saying his appearance is from crafty stage makeup.

“Guy he’s not actually sick,” one fan wrote. “He’s playing an old man wolverine for the new movie.”

Some fans even congratulated Hugh’s appearance, saying it’s spot-on for his character. Last year, the 47-year-old actor revealed that his character would be based off the “Old Man Logan” comic book storyline, notes the report. Meanwhile, other of Hugh’s fans sent him “get well soon” wishes and asked him if he’s doing okay. Others, were downright mean. It seems like Hugh’s recent Instagram post let the online trolls come out, according to a report via the Daily News.

“You look absolutely knackered, get some sleep buddy,” one wrote.

Some of them even remarked that he looked 65 years old, not 47. It’s probably because Jackman needs to appear older in the new movie. Other fans noted that Jackman is clearly doing well since he was last seen doing push-ups and cliff jumping a few weeks ago.

Apparently, this isn’t the first time the actor has confused fans over his appearance. Earlier this month, Hugh also looked noticeably different when he rocked a bushy gray beard during a recent outing, according to a report via the Daily Mail. The beard is apparently for his Wolverine role. Hugh took to Instagram to a share a selfie that featured him wearing a pair of black sunglasses and a cowboy hat. In the post, Hugh also wore a navy blue T-shirt as he overlooked the beautiful sight below him.

Earlier this year, Jackman revealed to his fans that he was treated for skin cancer on his nose for the fourth time. As previously reported via People, he took to Instagram to share a post-op photo of himself.

He was first treated for basal-cell carcinoma in November 2013. Hugh revealed his cancer scare on social media, saying his wife, Deborra-Lee Furness, wanted him to get the “mark” checked out by his doctor. Hugh first opened up to People about his skin cancer battle last year, in which he said he was shocked by the diagnosis. It even shocked his own fans, who see the Australian actor as strong and invincible.

“It’s always a bit of a shock just hearing the word ‘cancer.’ Being an Australian it’s a very common thing. I never wore sunscreen growing up so I was a prime candidate for it.”
