Justin Bieber And Sofia Richie Romance Turns Into Fan War On Twitter, Instagram: Will Love Win?
Justin Bieber and Sofia Richie soared to the top of the New Celebrity Couple Alert list by taking their romance from holding hands on a beach to soaring off to Japan to highly publicized displays of affection. And now the Biebs and his new gal pal (already nicknamed Jofia by some) are refusing to hide their love amid a fan war on both Twitter and Instagram.
How Jofia (Justin + Sofia) Began
Sparking the first signals that it might be more than just a casual friendship, Bieber and his 17-year-old model girlfriend have been devoting almost every day to each other in the past few weeks. Holding hands, engaging in public displays of affection and taking their love to new heights on a jet to Japan, the couple isn’t hesitating to confirm their affection, pointed out Us Weekly.
And their social media tells their love story, with the “Love Yourself” singer happily sharing a series of photos with Sofia on Instagram.
In addition to modeling, the teenager earned her fame as the sister of social butterfly Nicole and daughter of music legend Lionel Richie. But it took only one romantic walk on the beach with the Biebs to heat up the spotlight on her.
Justin The Gentleman Defends His Love
Rather than show happiness that Justin seemed to have found true love, his fans (known as Beliebers) reacted with hostility. The “Sorry” singer refused to say that he was sorry for his new girlfriend. Instead, he responded defending her, while issuing a warning to Beliebers who were attacking and bullying her.
“If you guys are really fans you wouldn’t be so mean to people that I like.”
But even that warning did not stop his most fervent fans, known as Beliebers, from attacking him over his new romance.
“Before were beliebers, remember???” slammed one of Bieber’s followers.
Supporting her boyfriend, the model also defied the attacks by sharing her own photos displaying her affection for the crooner.

Sofia started her modeling career in 2014, inking a deal with L.A. Models. Her claim to fame includes fashion magazine covers, high-end editorials, and getting chosen by Stella McCartney to flaunt her fabulous figure at the 2015 Met Ball, noted Cosmopolitan.
In addition, Madonna selected Sofia to reign as the face of her fashion line, Material Girl. The rising model also does not try to hide her pride in her famous family, posting photos of both her famous singer-songwriter-musician-producer Lionel and sister Nicole.
The teenager regards her big sister Nicole as her fashion idol. She confessed to sneaking clothes from Nicole’s closet, and has starred on the VH1 show Candidly Nicole.
Bieber’s new girlfriend has her own circle of famous friends, including Kylie Jenner and Bella Hadid. In addition, she is pals with Paris Jackson because Michael Jackson was her godfather.
“When we were little kids, Paris and I would be hanging out here with both of our dads,” she recalled.
Staying Strong Against Social Media Hate
With that close circle of friends and family and Bieber beside her, the 17-year-old model isn’t letting the haters stop her new love. Even her older photos have been filled with the backlash against the couple.
Many claimed that Justin and his new gal pal had destroyed the Beliebers.
“you killed the Beliebers…why don’t you just kill the FANDOM.”
Tempest On Twitter: Bieber Bye Bye?
The social media war also took place on Twitter, with Beliebers attacking their former idol first with images of them unfollowing him and then with turning the hashtag #RIPBeliebers into a top trending topic on Twitter, noted the Daily Beast.
Some of his followers announced that they were unfollowing Justin on Twitter, turning the hashtag #UnfollowJustin into a trend as well.
