Man Posed As Police Officer Before Raping 12-Year-Old Girl At Knife-Point

A North London man gained the trust of a 12-year-old girl before violently raping her at knife-point.

Abdelrazek Badran, 32, used a disguise to pretend he was a police officer and approached several young girls in an attempt to rape them. He attacked several of the young girls, but each got away from him before he could do any permanent harm. A 12-year-old girl was not so lucky after he attacked her by knife-point and lured her down an alleyway, where he raped her. Badran was able to convince the young girl that he was a police officer by claiming she was caught shoplifting from a local store. The girl knew she was not guilty and trusted that the officer impostor would realize the mistake and let her go on her way.

Before he raped the young girl, Badran took pictures of her semi-naked body with his phone. He then threatened her with the knife, warning her not to scream, then raped her.

The incident happened just an hour after he was released from a nine-year prison sentence, according to Metro.

Badran approached at least six other young girls prior to finally obtaining his young victim. Badran approached each while he was riding his bike. However, all of the girls were able to get away from him before harm was done. Just an hour before raping his final victim, he was able to apprehend an 11-year-old girl, but she got away and ran home to safety.

The 12-year-old victim was not harmed beyond being raped and was able to run home after the incident. She approached her mother, crying and shaking, and apologized, claiming it was not her fault.

“It’s not my fault. I tried to escape.”

Badran was identified by the victim and the others that got away and police promptly made the journey to his home. He was there when the police arrived and further proof was found to tie him to the rape when the young girl’s mother’s bank card was found in his possession. In addition, the photos he took of his young victim were found printed out in his home, one with her name on it. The other photos were found on his phone, in the deleted photos folder.

Badran chose to stalk the young children just after school released for the day, increasing his chance of obtaining a target.

The 12-year-old girl has not spoken out about the incident but is expected to be okay physically after the rape. Her mental state is unknown at this time, but it is hopeful that her young age and counseling will allow her to move past the horrendous events and live a normal life.

Due to the event, the North London Rape Crisis organization is looking for more volunteers to assist them.

Badran’s prior nine-year jail sentence was endured after being found guilty of having a relationship with a 9-year-old girl and raping her during his time with her.

Badran was charged with two counts of breaching his sexual offenses prevention order, false imprisonment, possession of drugs, and theft. In addition to the breach of his sexual offense prevention order, Badran is also charged with three sexual offenses and two counts of impersonating a police officer. The length of time he is facing in prison has not yet been determined.

Badran appeared in the Highbury Corner Magistrate’s Court on Saturday, according to the BBC, and will return next week and is expected to be sentenced next month.
