Miranda Lambert Wants A ‘Showdown’ With Gwen Stefani Over Blake Shelton Comments
Miranda Lambert is allegedly ready to pour some kerosene on all the cloyingly sweet media coverage of Blake Shelton and Gwen Stefani’s relationship. If a recent report is to be believed, she’s sick of Gwen and Blake constantly gushing about their unlikely love story, so she’s ready to “light ’em up and watch them burn.”
Miranda and Blake have dealt with the aftermath of their divorce very differently. Whereas Blake has been talking about how horrible it was for him, Miranda has said very little about her split from Blake. She also hasn’t said much about the new man in her life, country rhythm and blues singer Anderson East. Meanwhile, Blake and his new girlfriend, No Doubt frontwoman Gwen Stefani, have done numerous interviews about their relationship. However, things are about to change. Miranda Lambert will soon have a new album to promote, and she’s not going to let Blake Shelton and the new woman in his life be the only ones to benefit from her divorce.
According to In Touch Weekly, Miranda Lambert is fed up with Gwen and Blake’s incessant PDA, and she’s going to use her music to go after her ex’s new girlfriend. Miranda is reportedly unhappy with some of the past comments Gwen Stefani has made because she believes that they paint her in a bad light.
“Gwen should be worried about what Miranda is going to say, sing and do next,” a source revealed. “[Miranda] believes she’s been portrayed as the bad guy in her breakup with Blake and feels Gwen’s contributed to that public perception. Miranda would welcome a showdown with Gwen, to get everything out in the open once and for all.”

So what has Stefani said that has made Lambert seem like a “bad guy?” It’s possible that Lambert is unhappy about the comments Stefani made during her New York Times interview. While talking about how she and Blake bonded after discovering that they were both going through divorces, Gwen said that Blake “had been going through literally the exact same thing in literally the exact same time frame.” As Us Weekly reports, Gwen divorced Gavin Rossdale because she discovered that he was cheating on her, so Gwen’s comments about the similarities between her situation and Blake’s situation could be viewed as an insinuation that Blake divorced Miranda because she cheated on him.
Miranda Lambert is also annoyed with what Blake Shelton has said about their divorce.
“She’s sick to death of Blake carrying on in interviews about how Gwen ‘saved [his] life’ and saying he was ‘at rock bottom, in the middle of hell after their divorce.'”
As the Inquisitr previously reported, Miranda Lambert is going to tell her side of the story through the music on her upcoming album, which will likely be released sometime before Christmas. During an interview with Billboard, Miranda said that she felt like she was forced to write songs about her divorce.
“Every record I’ve ever made has been a reflection of where I am right then in my life, however old I am,” the “Vice” singer revealed. “And I’ve never held back at all. But this time, with what I happened to be going through in my life, being honest was never really a choice.”

Miranda may be tired of Gwen and Blake constantly talking about their relationship and flaunting it on social media, but their copious PDA hasn’t turned her off from showing a little love for the new man in her life. At her August 5 concert in Irvine, California, Miranda wore a T-shirt emblazoned with Anderson East’s name. There was some speculation that she was “throwing shade at Blake” with her own public display of affection, but Gossip Cop claims that this wasn’t the case; the shirt was just “a sign of affection for her boyfriend.”
According to Us Weekly, Miranda and Anderson first went public with their romance back in January. Miranda made it official by sharing an intimate Instagram photo of herself and her beau cuddled up in a blanket. She and Anderson have shared a few more social media posts about each other since then, but they haven’t done a ton of interviews about their relationship like Gwen and Blake have. However, this may change when Miranda Lambert starts promoting her upcoming album by doing the press circuit.
