Both Conor McGregor And Nate Diaz Look ‘Swole’ Before Their Fight At ‘UFC 202: Diaz Vs. McGregor 2’

Earlier this year, on March 5, Nate Diaz shocked the world when he not only faced off against Conor McGregor, but defeated him in the middle of the Octagon. Most of the MMA community, both the fans and the media, thought that “The Notorious” would come out on top. For starters, McGregor had been preparing for a fight leading up to his main event match. True, he was originally going to fight Rafael dos Anjos for the UFC Lightweight Championship, but he at least had months of training ahead of the match. Diaz, on the other hand, stepped up 10 days after dos Anjos backed out of the fight due to breaking his foot.

Despite the fact Nate Diaz was called in just ten days before their fight, he walked out a winner at “UFC 196: McGregor vs. Diaz” when he made Conor McGregor tap out to a rear-naked choke in the second round of the main event fight. [Photo by Rey Del Rio/Getty Images]
Conor McGregor had everything going for him and Nate Diaz was a huge underdog. However, the fact that the fight was now at welterweight worked against McGregor, who was now fighting two weight classes above what he usually fights. As a result of this, McGregor gassed out in the second round, giving Diaz the opportunity to finish him. After being lit up by Diaz’s combinations, McGregor took the fight to the ground. That proved to be a mistake as McGregor was on the receiving end of ground and pound, right before he tapped out to a rear-naked choke.

Needless to say, but UFC 196: McGregor vs. Diaz was not Conor McGregor’s night, and to be fair, Diaz had a bit of luck on his side too. Now both MMA fighters will settle the score as they fight each other at UFC 202: Diaz vs. McGregor 2, and it seems they are “swole” heading into their fight.

Multiple sports news outlets, such as Champions, reported on Conor McGregor looking in shape after the UFC Featherweight Champion posted an image update on his official Instagram. In it, McGregor is sitting at the Greens & Proteins Healthy Kitchen and Juice Bar, a modern cafe in Las Vegas, Nevada, that specializes in favored American foods, like pizza and burgers, with a healthy twist.

The size of Conor McGregor’s arms and legs look huge for his frame. Nate Diaz better watch out if that added muscle mass equates to power, and we already know that McGregor is one of the hardest power-hitters in the UFC. The thing is that Nate Diaz also looks huge too. Diaz also posted a picture update on his official Instagram in which he is showing off his physique.

The only issue about Nate Diaz’s picture update on his Instagram is that he is 200 pounds in it, as reported by ENT Imports. When he shows up at UFC 202, he will need to be 30 pounds lighter since the welterweight limit is 170 pounds. As for Conor McGregor’s look, it is unknown if he is overweight at the moment or riding at or near the welterweight range.

Ultimately, both Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz are professionals, and despite the limited amount of time left until UFC 202, they will most likely make weight for their fight. However, their rematch will probably be more physical now that both fighters trained with full camps specifically for a welterweight fight.

UFC 202: Diaz vs. McGregor 2 will take place on Saturday, August 20, in Las Vegas, Nevada. The fight will take place in the T-Mobile Arena. Along with the Diaz vs. McGregor main event, the main card also have Anthony Johnson vs. Glover Teixeira, which will most likely be a title eliminator match, Rick Story vs. Donald Cerrone, Hyun Gyu Lim vs. Mike Perry, and Tim Means vs. Sabah Homasi.
