This is why you shouldn’t text and drive

A video produced by the Welsh police in Gwent, UK is currently beating Ursain Bolt’s world record 100 m sprint in views on YouTube. The film tells the story of a fictional 17-year old girl, who becomes distracted when texting and driving, causing the deaths of two friends and another couple.

The clip is pretty strong and graphic, so viewers discretion is advised.

The full version of the thirty minute film is to be shown on BBC Wales in October and Gwent Police also hopes to show it in schools.

Personally I find the scene with the non-responsive baby most disturbing. Hopefully this video will make you think twice the next time you text and drive.

What do you think of this video? Is it too strong?
