Channing Tatum And Wife Jenna Dewan Celebrate ‘Step Up’ 10th Anniversary In Adorable #TBT Post

Channing Tatum and his wife, Jenna Dewan Tatum, honored the 10th anniversary of their movie Step Up by posting an adorable dance video to their Twitter accounts Thursday afternoon. The Tatums have every right to celebrate Step Up. After all, the dance movie is where Jenna and Channing first met.

According to People, Jenna Dewan Tatum also posted a #TBT picture of her sitting on Channing’s lap earlier in the day on her Instagram, but it was the re-enactment dance video by the Tatums that would truly melt the hearts of Step Up fans everywhere.

In 2006 when the film was released, no one would’ve guessed that Step Up, a love story that revolved around Nora, a ballet dance, and Tyler, a hip hop dancer, would lead to a real-life romance between Channing and Jenna. Now 10 years later, the Tatums have been married since 2009 and are the proud parents of a little girl.

Since the onscreen Step Up couple became an offscreen phenomenon, Channing and Jenna have been the subjects of much speculation on the Tatums’ relationship. One tabloid will print Jenna is pregnant while another will print that Channing is seeking a divorce. Still somehow, the Tatums seem to find success both on and off the screen.

Jenna admitted to People last month that finding success in her relationship with Channing is a bit of a balancing act.

“I think it’s important to be conscious about giving everyone equal attention. I’ll think, ‘Okay, I’ve been with my daughter a lot, so Channing and I need a date night.” Noting that even movie stars aren’t perfect, Jenna went on to say, “Some days I am better at it than others, but I just try to figure it out. Like everyone else! But I do think it’s important to consciously think about it.”

While Jenna’s acting career may not be as high key as Channing’s, she has kept busy in a steady stream of small roles in American Horror Story: Asylum, Supergirl, and as a guest judge for So You Think You Can Dance. The Tatums also have a production company, 33andOut Productions, which was one of the companies responsible for producing Channing’s lucrative 22 Jump Street.

Channing Tatum’s career has skyrocketed since the success of Step Up as Channing’s roles have vacillated from romantic lead in Dear John and The Vow, to action hero in films such as White House Down and 21 Jump Street, to exotic dancer in the Magic Mike franchise. Channing stated earlier this year he will be producing a live version of Magic Mike rather than a third film.

Though some Hollywood couples seem to struggle when one spouse finds more opportunities than the other, Channing and Jenna seem to be handling the pressure well. The Tatums even took their competition to a new level earlier this year when Jenna and Channing joined LL Cool J as competitors on Lip Sync Battle. The hilarious episode saw Jenna performing a Magic Mike type routine while Channing donned a dance for his rendition of “Let it Go” from Frozen. Unfortunately, for all those fans who were hoping to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Step Up with Channing and Jenna Dewan Tatum by Netflix and chilling, the film isn’t on the streaming service. It’s a good thing there is YouTube where you can catch your favorite clips of Step Up, including Channing and Jenna’s final dance. Or better yet, just scroll through Jenna and Channing’s social media accounts and catch the real-life version.
