Demi Lovato Has A New Look And A New Song In The Works

Demi Lovato has a new look for the upcoming season even though it’s still summer in most parts of the country. The singer recently took to Snapchat to show off her long ethereal hair.

The “Confident” singer has swapped out her sleek black bob for a longer and lighter look, according to PeopleStyle. Lovato credited her hairstylist and colorist of six years, Amber Maynard Bolt of Nine Zero One Salon, as the woman behind her look. Lovato revealed that it took her stylist 11 hours to perfect her “Cool for the Summer” hairstyle, which was aptly named after her hit single.

“The reason behind her new length is simple: Change,” the stylist told the outlet. “Demi has been rocking her hair short for about a year now. In the past, she has never been afraid of change, so I think this was a natural evolution for her. [She likes to] shake things up! This was all Demi’s idea! Like I said, ‘this new change is all a part of the ‘Demi Evolution’!”

This new change is a throwback for some of Demi’s fans, most of whom have supported her ever since her Camp Rock days. Some even noted that she looks the same as she did on her debut album, Don’t Forget. Even Maynard recalled the time that she had 15 inches of hair extensions to Demi’s naturally short hair.

“[The extensions] are individually attached to small amounts of hair to create a more natural movement,” she added. “It took about six hours to build up her look to make it most realistic.”

Although Lovato loved the length, she wanted to go lighter. So she called Bolt once again for a last-minute appointment to add some golden highlights. According to PeopleStyle, the color has “multi-dimensional honey highlights” that blend perfectly into her extensions, says her stylist.

“I wouldn’t call her ombre,” Maynard said. “Even though [the color] is lighter on the ends, it’s still very multi-dimensional.”

Demi has been taking to both her Instagram and Snapchat accounts to show off her new look. She kind of looks like a goddess, don’t you agree?

Demi even showed off her sexy voluminous waves in another Snapchat video, which also featured the gold butterfly crown.

This new look comes just in time for the Kansas City, Missouri, leg of her “Future Now Tour” with Nick Jonas, according to StyleCaster. In addition to her luscious long locks, Lovato also got a new tattoo that will make her fans smile, as reported by Yahoo Celebrity.

The singer took to Instagram to show off her new happy face tattoo on her pink finger, adding, “Cause life’s too short not to tattoo your pinky.”

The 23-year-old singer has been making some major changes in her life amid her split with Wilmer Valderrama. Demi hasn’t been sitting around and sulking. She performed at the Democratic National Convention last month and has been recording new music in the studio. Demi released her last single, “Body Say,” which included a sexy nude photo shoot that was shot in black-and-white.

Now, Lovato is back to making some music. She took to Twitter to tease fans about her hot new song.

She also wrote one song that’s extremely personal, but she does not plan to release anytime soon.

She recently opened about her single life on an episode of Elvis Duran and the Morning Show, as quoted by UPI.

“I feel really amazing. I feel really great and I’m growing. My life is just really, really exciting for me because I’m growing. It’s new and fresh, and I feel free.”

Lovato and Valderrama split in June after six years of dating. The singer has been keeping busy by going to the gym, attending AA meetings, and hitting the recording studio.

“[My health and music] are pretty much my life. And I love it,” she said in the interview. “My life now consists of doing things that are bettering, that are going to better myself.”
