It’s on! Earlier today, Vin Diesel cryptically addressed the feud that has rocked the Fast 8 set. In the Fast and Furious franchise, the meaning of family is preached in the films and during promotion, but according to Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, not all is well between he and his male co-stars.

It all started with Johnson’s Instagram message, as the action star put his male colleagues on blast for their unprofessional behavior. The note celebrated the end of his shooting schedule, and started off with a set of thank you’s before The Rock slammed colleagues without naming any names.

“This is my final week of shooting #FastAndFurious8. There’s no other franchise that gets my blood boiling more than this one. Some [of my male counterparts] conduct themselves as stand up men and true professionals, while others don’t. The ones that don’t are too chicken s**t to do anything about it anyway. Candy a**es. When you watch this movie next April and it seems like I’m not acting in some of these scenes and my blood is legit boiling — you’re right.”

The note immediately went viral. Since the Fast and Furious cast is known to be a close tight knit group, many wondered if Johnson was directing his anger at newcomer Scott Eastwood, who joined the franchise in F8. The speculation lasted for a short time as TMZ revealed that The Rock’s feud was with none other than the Fast ring leader Vin Diesel.

At the time, TMZ reported that the two had a “secret meeting” on set to squash their beef, but words were said, which lead to Dwayne Johnson unleashing his fury out. It’s said that the meeting was initially called because tensions were so high that it was “impossible” to shoot scenes with the two. One of the issues had to do with the fact that Diesel is a producer of the franchise. Another source told the outlet that the crew thinks that the producer title has gone to Diesel’s head because he frequently criticizes his co-stars acting choices and pushes back production call times whenever he wants. That said, additional sources told TMZ that the cast is “angry” at Dwayne Johnson for going public with the feud.

In an effort to end his time on Fast 8 on a positive note, Dwayne Johnson posed another Instagram video to thank his stunt double. In a lengthy note, Johnson thanked his stunt double JJ Perry and described an “epic” prison breakout scene, which was the bulk of his last week shooting.

Then, he addressed what everyone was talking about, but this time around, he had a positive spin.

“You guys reading this know how much I believe in the idea of team effort. That means respecting every person, their time and their value when they step onto my set or partner with our production company. And like with any team, that’s a family, there’s gonna be conflict. Family is gonna have differences of opinion and fundamental core beliefs. To me, conflict can be a good thing, when it’s followed by great resolution. I was raised on healthy conflict and welcome it. And like any family, we get better from it.”

Prior to Johnson’s additional note, co-star Tyrese backed The Rock, but said that he probably shouldn’t have generalized by saying “male counterparts.” Then he went on to explain that he doesn’t have beef with Johnson, and praised him as a colleague.

“DJ happens to be one of the most humble, down to earth and professional people I’ve ever worked with and more importantly he’s my brother we have NEVER had a problem and will never have a problem (sic)”

The only other person left to talk about the feud is the man himself, and now Diesel has cryptically responded to Johnson’s comments via an Instagram video. Diesel captioned the video with, “So much has gone in this year. I can’t believe I wrapped two back to back pictures I both starred in and produced. Now I get to return to my family, my life… To me.”

In the video he shared with fans, that his daughter, Pauline, learned a new word “happy,” which made him light up. He said the word describes his spirit and soul.

Then, the actor abruptly turned cryptic as he closed in on the video camera and whispered the following.

“Give me a second, and I will tell you everything. Everything.”
