‘Big Bang Theory’ Spoilers: Will Kaley Cuoco & Cast Sign On Past Season 10?
The Big Bang Theory is one of the most popular shows on television, but fans are starting to worry that the series will end after the upcoming Season 10. While nothing has been confirmed, rumors are starting to buzz that the stars of the show, including Kaley Cuoco, Johnny Galecki, and Jim Parsons, may extend their contracts.
According to Entertainment Weekly, The Big Bang Theory is getting ready to enter Season 10, and contract negotiations for the cast are right around the corner. CBS chief Glenn Gellar recently dished on the future of the beloved show, saying he’s hopeful they’ll get more seasons.
“We are very confident that everyone involved wants more Big Bang past year 10. I know Warner Bros will make those deals.”
When asked about when the news of a cancellation or renewal may be available to the public, Gellar didn’t offer much in the way of information. However, he did reveal that the network will air the show for as long as everyone wants to keep making it.
As many Big Bang Theory fans know, the show centers around a group of nerdy guys and the women who’ve come into their lives. Jim Parsons plays the neurotic genius, Dr. Sheldon Cooper, and Johnny Galecki portrays his roommate/best friend, Dr. Leonard Hoffstader.
Over the years, Leonard and the gorgeous girl next door, Penny, played by actress Kaley Cuoco, have fallen in and out of love and even tied the knot. Sheldon has also found the love of his life in a nerdy scientist, Amy, portrayed by former Blossom star Mayim Bialik.
Meanwhile, the character of Howard has also gotten married to his love, Bernadette, and the couple is currently expecting the first Big Bang Theory baby together. All the while, Raj, who has been so unlucky in love, has transformed from a guy who couldn’t speak to a woman to a man who was juggling women. However, Raj still hasn’t found the one yet.
When Season 9 of The Big Bang Theory ended, Penny and Leonard were getting ready to have another wedding ceremony so that their friends and family could watch them say I do this time around. However, some drama ensued when Leonard’s father and Sheldon’s mother hit it off a little too well and seemingly hooked up the night before the wedding.
Kaley Cuoco’s former TV mom from the show 8 Simple Rules, Katey Sagal, is going to be playing Penny’s mother as well, and the role of her brother will be played by TV funnyman, Jack McBrayer.
Loyal fans of The Big Bang Theory are hoping for more seasons as there is so much left in the character’s lives to explore. Will Penny and Leonard have children? Can Sheldon change enough to marry Amy and possibly have kids? Will Raj ever find the love of his life and will Howard get over the issues he suffers from his dad abandoning him to become the father he never had?
It will be interesting to see how Season 10 plays out, and if it ends on a note that fans would feel comfortable leaving the series with, or if the show will create some sort of cliffhanger like they did in Season 9 for viewers to talk about throughout the summer.
