Will Hillary Clinton Run For President? Bill Says He Has “No Idea”

Is Hillary Clinton going to run for president again in 2016? You wouldn’t know it by talking to Bill, who claims he has “no earthly idea” if she’s planning a sequel to her 2008 bid for the highest office in the country.

Bill Clinton, former president and Obama’s Secretary of Explaining Things, appeared today on Face the Nation and played coy when asked whether his wife, current Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, was thinking of running for president again in 2016.

“I have no earthly idea what she’ll decide to do,” Clinton said, saying of Hillary that “she’s worked hard for 20 years, and she’s tired.” According to Bill, one thing is for sure: “She wants to take some time off, kind of regroup, write a book, I hope we’ll be working together” on the Clinton Global Initiative. “I think we ought to give her a chance to organize her life and decide what she wants to do,” he concluded.

Elsewhere in Sunday’s talk show round-up, via Politico: Reince Priebus and David Axelrod disagree on the GOP’s “good week,” with the latter of the two still ragging on Mitt Romney’s taxes.

“I think in retrospect, in that we were able to frame up the debate,” said Priebus of Romney’s GOP critics. “I respect and I admire people that get very concerned.”

Axelrod, same subject, responding to Priebus:

“Well, I don’t know what prism he’s looking through. I don’t think anybody else would define it as a good week.”

Indeed. Furthermore:

“Two months ago, he said that anybody who didn’t take the deductions they were owed wasn’t qualified to be president,” said Axelrod of Romney’s recently released tax returns. “Well, I guess he’s not qualified, because that’s exactly what he did last week to try and get his number up from 9% or 10% to 14%.”

Do you think that Hillary will run in 2016? Would she make a good president?
