At the GamesCom convention in Germany, Sony announced that its miniaturized console would launch in North America on September 1st. That memo didn’t reach GameStop. The mega-retailer is currently offering PlayStation 3 Slim pre-orders online and in stores, with a shipping date of August 24th. That’s – booyah! – four days away, also known as next Monday. A whole week before the official launch date.
I’ve no idea if that’s a typo (unlikely), or if GameStop has just decided to break street date (more likely), but thems the facts, folks.
