‘The Young And The Restless’ Spoilers: Phyllis Makes An Unlikely Deal, Neil Stuns Lily, And Summer Starts Planning

The Young and the Restless spoilers for Tuesday’s episode indicate that Summer will be rallying her family to get excited about her wedding, but behind her back they are reacting differently. Neil will have some surprising information to share with Lily, and Victoria gets settled in with her renewed work at Brash and Sassy. What else can viewers expect from the August 9 show?

Phyllis cautioned Summer to take things slowly in walking down the aisle this time, but Young and Restless spoilers from SheKnows Soaps note that Luca will be pushing his fiancee to elope. She turns down his idea, noting that she really wants to have her family with her for the big day.

Luca is worried that her family will stay away from the wedding, but she points out that her mother seemed fine with the news. While she voices some worry about Victor’s reaction, Luca admits that he told her grandfather about the engagement and that Victor also seemed to handle the news well.

Phyllis and Victor may have put on a good show for Summer and Luca when they heard the news, but their true reactions are quite different. The Young and the Restless spoilers share that Victor finds Phyllis and proposes that they coordinate efforts to put an end to the relationship. Jack arrives as his wife says she is not going to handle the situation this way, and Victor warns her not to push her daughter away by getting angry over it all.

As Phyllis fills Jack in on the engagement news, saying that she is going to find a way to put a stop to it, he tells her to calm down. The Young and the Restless spoilers indicate that things will get a bit heated between the two during this discussion as she accuses him of not doing enough to stop Summer from marrying Austin. Later, Lily will ask her father about his parents, and he will tell her that his mother essentially disappeared and his father raised him alone. Neil admits that he doesn’t know if either of them is still alive and Young and Restless spoilers note that Lily will be stunned that he shut them out like that. He insists that he has no interest in having contact with them, and once she walks away, he looks unsettled.

Victoria has left Newman Enterprises to return to Brash and Sassy and Young and Restless spoilers detail that she will be jumping right into things. She outlines a sexy ad concept to Billy, and as he hears it, he pictures Phyllis. When Cane arrives, he will be rather startled to see Victoria there and when he learns that Vikki is now with the company, he assumes that he is being pushed out already.

Jill soon shows up and says that Cane, Billy, and Victoria are her “dream team” and she wants to see Chancellor Industries take down both Newman Enterprises and Jabot. Billy is wary of Jill’s claims, but Victoria remains onboard and heads back to Newman to pick up the rest of her things.

Once Vikki leaves, Young and Restless spoilers share that Billy and Cane will discuss Jill’s antics regarding pushing Billy and Victoria together again. However, Billy says he’s moved on. Cane questions who it is that is in Billy’s life now, and he thinks that Jill is focusing on her family just as she should be.

Summer will visit Victor to see what he has to say about her engagement, and while he admits that he doesn’t think anybody is good enough for her, he details that he will support her because she has always supported him. Summer shares the news with Victoria when she arrives, and as Vikki talks with her father, she notes that she figures everybody is fairly upset about the engagement news. However, Victor claims that Summer can do what she wants.

Victoria talks about getting the last of her things and Victor makes it seem as if he wants her to get it over with. The Young and the Restless spoilers note that she will talk about how they are still family, and while he may put up a tough front while she’s there, he will seem sad once she’s gone.

Luca and Phyllis will talk and he will question her reasons for wanting them to take things slowly regarding a wedding. Phyllis continues to try to talk in a way that will slow down their efforts, but when Summer returns, Phyllis maintains that she supports them doing what they want.

Summer will tell her mother that she wants to get married right away and Young and Restless spoilers indicate that Phyllis will agree to help. However, she soon calls Victor and agrees to align with him to put a stop to the nuptials.

Jack and Jill will catch up with one another, and he voices concern about Phyllis’ reaction to the engagement. He details how she backed down to allow Summer to do what she wants, and he was a bit surprised at how easily she came around. They also talk about the state of Jack’s marriage, with him admitting that these days it seems as if his wife is trying too hard.
