Ariana Grande And Mac Miller Are Not Dating, Just Collaborating

Ariana Grande has been dropping music, but it’s not something you can buy on iTunes or Apple Music. Instead, it’s on her official SoundCloud account. Her new account has been getting plenty of use in recent days with her new music.

Ever since Ariana Grande, 23, split from her boyfriend, Ricky Alvarez, the pop star has been busy remixing old music. In the past month, she’s been seen with rapper Mac Miller, and she has set up her SoundCloud account. Grande has been dropping some new remixes, as a special treat for her fans.

Just last week, Ariana released two versions of her old tracks, “Voodoo Love” and “Honeymoon Ave,” according to Teen Vogue. And just recently, she released a remix of “Into You” with collaborator Mac Miller, whom she previously collaborated with on her smash single “The Way.”

To promote her new song, she even released a lyric video for the hot summer song along with an a cappella version of the song. This isn’t the first time that Grande has released an a capella song for one of her Dangerous Woman tracks. She released this version of her singing an a capella version of the album’s title track in a black latex outfit complete with bunny ears.

This new remix with Mac Miller is probably the reason why the two have been hanging out in recent weeks. According to a report via Hollywood Life, Ariana and Mac were spotted on a date in Disneyland California in late July. The pint-sized diva was spotted wearing gray sweatpants, a white sweatshirt, and a large sun visor. But Mac and Ariana weren’t totally alone. Singer Victoria Monet was also there to join on the fun, as you can see in her Instagram post below.

In addition, Grande and Miller, 24, were seen sitting front row on Space Mountain. Grande was seen holding onto her visor as Miller covered his face. The group reportedly arrived around 10 p.m. and didn’t leave until 12:30 a.m. Grande and Monet have been spending a lot of time together, as they collaborated on her song “Better Days.” And now fans know why Grande is hanging out with Miller again — it’s because they wanted to remix another one of her hit songs.

Ariana Grande and her boyfriend of one year, Ricky Alvarez, 25, ended their relationship on or around July 23. The pop star took Twitter to post some cryptic messages to her fans about making big changes in her life and moving on. Ariana also posted some photos of her new hairstyle, which now features blunt bangs, according to Hollywood Life. She also thanked her fans, who were supposedly not crazy about her beau, for looking out for her best interests.

While neither party has confirmed the split, sources told People that their relationship is already over. The reason why? Grande wanted a new start in all parts of her life, and felt that Alvarez was part of her old self, according to another report via Hollywood Life.

But, she hasn’t completely forgotten about him. While Ariana is focusing on herself and her music, she’s been back in the studio to make new songs about “love and loss,” according to Hollywood Life’s sources close to the songstress. You could say that Ariana is just “Breaking Free” from her old persona and her old relationships.

It’s not unlike Grande to write songs about Alvarez. Her album’s opening track, “Moonlight,” was inspired by her former boyfriend. According to Grande, the song was written after their “first kiss.” He waited a while to kiss her and she was surprised by what a gentleman he was. Grande and Alvarez were first linked when they kissed onstage during a Pride concert and when video footage of Grande licking donuts in a California bakery leaked online.
