‘Game Of Thrones’ Season 7 Spoilers: Sansa Stark Betrays Jon Snow?

It’s never too early to start talking about Game of Thrones Season 7 spoilers, especially if the latest rumors about Sansa Stark betraying Jon Snow turn out to be true!

This explosive Game of Thrones Season 7 spoiler is coming courtesy of the Christian Times, who claim that the online pairing of Sansa Stark (played by Sophie Turner) with Lord Baelish (played by Aiden Gillen) in an election-style promotion is the first sign that Sansa will betray Jon Snow (played by Kit Harington in a now-Emmy nominated performance). Indeed, the Christian Times uses this rumor to shore up earlier claims that Sophie Turner made in interviews surrounding the development of her character.

While Turner explained that Sansa is upset that she didn’t get her just credit for helping Jon win the so-called “Battle of the Bastards,” she also made clear that Sansa’s reckoning is two-fold. One, she wants to reclaim Winterfell for herself (being a legitimate heir of Ned Stark), and two, Lord Baelish has made clear that he wants the Iron Throne and will stop at nothing to get it, and Sansa owes him more than a slight debt to help him get it.

Sansa has developed a lot since we first saw her being betrothed to King Joffrey in the first season, but she’s always had contempt for Jon Snow because she thought he was the illegitimate son of her beloved father (though the last episode of Season 6 proved that Ned Stark is his uncle, not his father, and he actually has more of a legitimate claim to the Iron Throne than anyone else, even the so-called “Mother of Dragons”).

Meanwhile, PopSugar has taken the liberty of contacting the show’s creators and are therefore happy to share what they call “confirmed” Game of Thrones Season 7 spoilers. Needless to say, the much-hated Cersei Lannister (played by Lena Headey, who also received an Emmy nomination for the first time this year) will have even more people trying to kill her this season, most notably her two brothers, Jaime and Tyrion.

Of course, Jaime and Tyrion have different reasons for wanting to kill her. Jaime wants to kill her because his last child, Tommen, died by suicide because he was consumed with grief over Cersei’s actions. Her actions certainly led fans to believe that she deliberately plotted everything that happened to get the Iron Throne for herself, though it doesn’t seem she took her child’s potential response into account or that she really cared one way or another. Tyrion, for his part, is now the trusted advisor to Daenerys Targaryen (the aforementioned “Mother of Dragons”), and Cersei’s only getting in the way of Daenerys sitting on The Iron Throne herself.

Finally, according to the International Business Times, one of the most anticipated Game of Thrones Season 7 spoilers is the much-anticipated reunion between Sansa Stark and her sister, Arya. Turner told the outlet that a reunion between the once-beleaguered sisters is “obvious,” especially since Arya has now arrived in Westeros after killing Walder Frey.

The two sisters haven’t been seen together since the first season, and both have undergone an extreme amount of changes since that time. While Sansa was married off to two different men for two different reasons, Arya went off with “The Hound,” got some interesting training in Braavos, and carried out her vengeance against the people who killed her family, most notably, of course, Walder Frey. Since winter has finally arrived in Westeros, it should be interesting to see how the darker tenor plays a role in how the “happy reunion” plays out.

This season of Game of Thrones is the first to not faithfully follow the book series by George R.R. Martin, so Game of Thrones Season 7 spoilers are a little more difficult to predict. However, we promise to keep you apprised of additional Game of Thrones Season 7 spoilers as they become known and available to us.
