Dorinda Medley Has A Theory About Luann And Thomas – And It’s Not What You Think

Dorinda Medley was the one who decided that Luann de Lesseps and Thomas D’Agostino should meet and go out on a date. Dorinda knew both of them separately, and she was convinced that they would click if they met one another. Dorinda had no idea that Thomas had dated both Ramona Singer and Sonja Morgan, even though Sonja had continued a sexual relationship with him for years. When Medley stopped by Watch What Happens Live last week, Andy Cohen decided to ask her what she thought about Thomas and about whether he was using Luann for his own fame. Is he really just dating Real Housewives of New York stars to get fame and attention?

According to a new Bravo report, Dorinda Medley told Andy that she doesn’t believe that Thomas is using Luann for fame. Of course, de Lesseps has been on The Real Housewives of New York since the very beginning, and she’s shared both her marriage and another relationship on the show. Now, she’s head-over-heels in love with D’Agostino, but Dorinda Medley believes that their relationship is very genuine. And her theory is that he isn’t using her for fame.

“No, I don’t. I don’t think so,” Dorinda revealed when Andy asked her about him using Luann for fame and attention, adding, “I think Tom is one of these guys who has dated a lot of women on the Upper East Side.”

Medley’s theory is that Manhattan is actually very small when it comes to dating and that he has just been very busy in dating and trying to find the right woman for him. As it turns out, he had to go through Sonja Morgan and Ramona Singer before he found Luann, but Medley doesn’t think that he’s purposefully going after ladies on The Real Housewives of New York, as fans have seen before with Slade Smiley on The Real Housewives of Orange County.

Jules Wainstein, who was also on last week’s episode of Watch What Happens Live, added that she thinks Luann is “genuinely happy.”

“I’ve spent a lot of time with Tom and Luann. They’re a good couple. They’re nice,” Jules added, mirroring Dorinda Medley’s view that they are just very happy and don’t really care about his past relationships.

“They both like to date, so when you live in this small island called Manhattan, you’re bound to run into exes and other people,” Dorinda Medley added.

de Lesseps has been very vocal about her relationship with Thomas, adding that she doesn’t care about what he did before meeting her. Medley has previously said that she would never set them up if she knew about his past. Sure, she knows that he went on a few dates with Singer and that he had a longer relationship with Morgan, but he seems to downplay their relationships, while Singer and Morgan are clearly very hurt by their co-star. Dorinda Medley understands why de Lesseps is frustrated, as she felt the ladies needed to move on.

“I had a lot of fun with the girls even though Ramona and Sonja wouldn’t stop obsessing about Tom. I felt bad that I lost my temper with Ramona, but I’d had enough of her making a couple of dates with Tom into something it wasn’t. As for Sonja, I understand that in the past she enjoyed Tom’s company and their friendship, and I want them to still be friends…just different kinds of friends!” de Lesseps has revealed in her blog for The Real Housewives of New York, according to Bravo, adding, “Sonja’s rude comments about my party guests shows that while she’s cordial on the outside, on the inside she’s angry with me for taking Tom off the market.”

What do you think of Dorinda Medley’s theory about the new couple? Do you think Medley is right about him not using de Lesseps for fame and attention?
