‘Fifty Shades Darker’ Star Jamie Dornan Talks About His New Baby, Wife Amelia Warner
Fifty Shades Darker star Jamie Dornan and wife Amelia Warner welcomed their second baby in March. In a recent interview, Dornan opened up about their experience adapting to their new family of four.
During his guest appearance on Live! With Kelly on Friday, Jamie Dornan shared that having two daughters is quite challenging.
“We’ve got two little girls now, so it’s pretty insane. One of my best friends said that one is a pet, two is a zoo,” he joked.

As Dornan is busy juggling several projects at the same time, the actor admitted that having an additional member of the family was definitely difficult at first. He shared that they had to go through several adjustments and just like other parents with a newborn, lost sleep for months.
“It’s been a big adjustment and it’s definitely harder and you get less time to yourself, but human beings are very good at adaptation. You have to just go with it and accept less sleep and accept less time in your hands and accept less reading of books and washing and all the usual things you do in a day,” he said.
While it seems like Jamie Dornan is taking fatherhood in stride, the Fifty Shades Darker star shared that they are still on the fence about having another baby. If they were to have a third child, Dornan said that he originally wanted a boy, a mini-me, but after having two daughters, the actor changed his mind.
“I always thought I’d want the boy because…I think as a guy you just think, ‘I’ll have a little mini version of myself’ or something in a sort of narcissistical way, but then once you’ve had girls I can’t imagine having [another one].”
In other news, rumors of Jamie Dornan having an affair with Fifty Shades co-star Dakota Johnson continue to spread online. With the birth of his new daughter, some may think that the rumors will finally stop circulating but it seems like that is far from happening anytime soon. According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Johnson’s recent sexy pic was meant to be a “special message” for Dornan.
“Unless this is a case of life imitating art, Dakota Johnson’s extremely suggestive photo is an indication that she definitely has something on her mind, and that might as well be her sexy co-star Jamie Dornan.”
When Dornan’s wife Amelia Warner started visiting the Fifty Shades set, insiders claimed that Johnson felt uneasy with her around. The How to be Single star reportedly felt that her every move is being watched. It was definitely uncomfortable filming risqué sex scenes with Warner around. Dornan reportedly felt the same way but just did not want to create a scene with Warner. The publication further claimed that Warner was getting affected with all the rumors surrounding Dornan and Warner.
“The on-screen Christian Grey seems to be more at ease whenever his wife isn’t around, leading to more rumors that Jamie Dornan and Amelia Warner’s marriage is definitely in trouble. Otherwise, why would Amelia Warner insist on being on the set of the ’50 Shades’ movies when she could easily be at home while letting her husband do his job?”
It also did not help that Jamie Dornan had nothing but praise for Dakota Johnson. In an interview with Good Morning America, Dornan said that he was glad to have gone through the whole Fifty Shades of Grey experience with Johnson.
“We have a lot of fun together. Dakota’s funny and we’ve been through this mad sort of journey together and I’m very thankful that I’ve done it with someone who is easy to do it wit. It could have been a very different experience had we not got on.”
