Jennifer Garner And Ben Affleck Have Found A Way That Works

Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner faced their own marriage breakdown earlier this year, when Affleck’s infidelity brought the couple’s problems to a head, and even though both Garner and Ben had announced the dissolution of their relationship and an impending divorce, not much has changed. Affleck is living in the guest house and is often seen in the company of not-so-estranged wife Jennifer, with and without their children. The situation has fueled gossip that Garner might yet reconcile with her husband, but, now, Jennifer is revealing that they are both just very happy with the status quo.

Jennifer Garner Says She Has A Very “Modern Family” With Ben Affleck

Many couples are redefining boundaries and roles, as they pursue alternatives for divorce, especially in cases where children are involved, and Jennifer Garner says that she, along with estranged husband Ben Affleck, absolutely fall under that category. Driving the point home, Us Weekly reveals that Garner and Ben have even vacationed together recently, taking their children, Violet Affleck, 10, Seraphina Rose Elizabeth Affleck, 7, and Samuel Garner Affleck, 4, on a trip to Europe.

Jennifer admits that the situation isn’t the usual route former couples take upon realizing the romance is over, but she adds that it works for everyone involved and it keeps the children happy.

“We are definitely a modern family,” Ms. Garner said of co-parenting with Affleck. “We’re doing really well.”

The rumors that Garner is reconciling with Affleck are totally false, according to both parties and to insiders close to the former couple, but it is understandable why fans would assume Jennifer and Ben are getting back together. After all, they spend a good bit of time together as a family. Jennifer even relocated temporarily to the U.K., just so the kids could be close to their father, who was overseas filming Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice.

“Ben was working in London on Justice League, and I felt like, well, the kids should have that experience,” Garner explained on the Today show. “And he and I are great friends and we just all went en masse.”

Jennifer Garner And Ben Affleck May Never Divorce

While they are definitely not reconciling, Garner and Affleck are also not seeking to divide their family any further, which would inevitably happen through divorce, amicable or not. Instead, the former couple is choosing not to rock the boat anymore. Game N Guide points to the fact that Jennifer and Ben have been separated long before nanny-gate occurred and suggests the two are just happy to have some peace and maintain a healthy relationship for their kids.

“They have a good system in place,” a source said. “Everyone is happy right now.”

The situation works for them and that seems to be the most important factor for both Ben and Jennifer. They trade off babysitting duties, as they each continue to pursue their acting and filmmaking careers, and, when they have time off, the whole family takes off for a vacation. Together, they put their children first and co-parent in a way that lets their kids know that they are both still there for them and that it will always be that way, no matter what the future holds for Garner and Affleck on a one to one basis.

Even through everything, Jennifer Garner still says she has no regrets and, given the chance to go back in time, she would do it all the same again.

“I didn’t marry the big fat movie star; I married him,” Ms. Garner says. “And I would go back and remake that decision. He’s the love of my life. What am I going to do about that?”
