Lamar Odom Reportedly Near Death And Khloe Kardashian Feels Helpless
Former NBA star Lamar Odom has been struggling with his health ever since his near fatal overdose in a Nevada brothel a year ago. He married Khloe Kardashian in 2009 and a report suggests that there is not much she can do to save him.
According to InTouch Weekly, Khloe has made several attempts to convince Lamar to seek help. He has continued to use alcohol despite his dire health condition, the publication reports.
A source exclusively revealed that Khloé has prepared herself for a heartbreaking outcome.
“Khloé’s mindset is that she’s done everything she can to help Lamar. [Khloé] finally realized there is nothing she can do for Lamar if he doesn’t want to help himself.”

Earlier this year, TMZ also reported that Lamar Odom was drinking again. And insider sources at InTouch Weekly suggest that he may not have much longer to live.
“He’s gone back to partying, drinking and doing drugs,” a source exclusively tells InTouch. “His kidneys never fully recovered from the overdose, and doctors have told him that going back to his old lifestyle will guarantee his death.”
The 36-year-old former basketball star and TV personality may still be alive because of his youth. However, with the additional drug abuse, it is likely that his body may shut down.
In a sign of hope, Hollywood Life reports that Lamar is consulting Michael Jackson’s doctor to help him curb his drug addiction. The website states the following.
“The doc doesn’t prescribe Lam any medications but has encouraged him to go to rehab repeatedly. As a doctor, he’s known many patients fall incredibly ill and even die as a result of neglecting the body and he told Lamar he doesn’t want him to be another cadaver on the medical examiner’s table. Ultimately, it’s up to Lamar to follow Dr. Murray’s advice to live.”
Murray is considered an odd choice since the former doctor was convicted of causing Michael Jackson’s death. He is also believed to have had his medical license revoked. However, Hollywood Life states that the infamous doctor has been a big help to him despite his past.
Lamar primarily stays away from social media and there have not been many updates on his health. In terms of love, Khloe Kardashian seems to have moved on. She was in a relationship with Bronx rapper French Montana for a while, and later dated basketball star James Harden.

Kardashian was also linked to Odell Beckham, Jr., who denied that they were dating, and reports suggest that she was snapped making out with R&B singer Trey Songz.
Khloe still cares for Lamar, but may have run out of options if he is not willing to enter rehab.
In an interview with Entertainment Tonight Online, Lamar talked about his alleged drinking and his divorce from Khloe Kardashian.
“We did talk, you know, everything is [up for] discussion,” Odom said of his ex. “We talk about anything. We’ve been through a lot. It won’t ever stop,” Lamar said when discussing the potential divorce.
When asked about the picture that show him allegedly drinking he commented.
“I mean, it gets tough, especially if so much gets speculated,” he said of the photos that surfaced of him out at a bar. “Only a few people know the truth, and I just keep that close to my heart.”
Lamar talked how he felt back in April and it seems like he was in good spirits. Things must have gone south between then and now.
“I’ve never been better, especially after tonight,” he said after watching a basketball game.
