Lindsay Lohan Breaks Silence On Abusive Relationship With Fiancé Egor Tarabasov: ‘I’m Afraid Of What He Might Do To Me’

With the world now aware of the abuse she has suffered at the hands of Russian billionaire Egor Tarabasov, Freaky Friday star Lindsay Lohan is speaking out.

In her first interview since videos of their domestically-charged altercations went public, the 30-year-old spoke to the Daily Mail and explained that the violent visuals are just two of out of many instances where Tarabasov, 23, threatened her well-being, both physically and emotionally.

“I wanted to do this interview because it’s time to tell the truth,” she tearfully explained. “There have been so many lies printed about me recently, [and] I’ve kept quiet for so long, but now, I’m scared of what Egor might do to me and to himself.”

The truth behind Lohan and Tarabasov’s shaky relationship first came to light in late July when a video documenting the aftermath of a fight in their London home went viral, thanks to it being published by the Sun. In the clip, Lindsay is heard screaming for help from a balcony after allegedly being choked by Egor in her Knightsbridge flat.

“Egor and I had been out for dinner,” she said of that night. “When we got home, I went to bed and Egor went [back] out. A few hours later, he [returned] and when I woke up, he was standing over me. He wasn’t himself, he was being very aggressive and he attacked me.”

Her calls for help were ultimately answered when a neighbor called the police. However, due to her past brush-ups with the law and her vulnerable state due to Egor’s assault, Lindsay said she left her home rather than speak with them.

“I’ve dealt with enough police [when I lived in] L.A,” Lohan expressed. “I just left the house and went to the Connaught [Hotel] for the night.”

Albeit forthcoming with that instance of violence, she was less chatty about the most recent scope of their torrid romance that was mentioned by the Inquisitr last week. In another video, which was initially shared by Radar Online, Lohan and Tarabasov fight each other on a Mykonos beach after she attempts to look at Egor’s phone. Lindsay wouldn’t say just what she was hoping to see, but admitted that she only grabbed his phone after he took hers.

“Egor drank too much and went crazy,” she added, before moving on from the topic.

Since departing London, Lindsay has been staying with friends in Sardinia, contemplating her next move and mourning what she initially believed was going to be a happy ending with Egor. To this day, she still wears the four-carat emerald engagement ring that Tarabasov placed on her finger.

“We planned to marry in Lake Como next May,” she cried. “We should both be in Italy looking at wedding venues right now. All I wanted was to get married and settle down. I’ve always wanted four kids and Egor and I talked about having a family.”

Lohan acknowledged that she and Tarabasov began dating at some time in 2015, and began living together just two days after their first romantic interaction. Although their engagement was announced in April of this year, Egor had actually popped the question months before.

“He proposed on September 27, 2015,” Lindsay stated, “but I waited months before saying anything publicly.”

Ironically, Lohan now sees herself living the same life that her mother, Dina Lohan, once lived after being allegedly abused by Lindsay’s father, Michael Lohan, throughout their marriage (the two divorced in 2005). Although she had reconciled with her dad following his ongoing, contentious relationship with Dina, some of which, was televised during VH1’s Family Therapy With Dr. Jenn in 2016, the two are currently not on speaking terms after he told Us Weekly that Lindsay was pregnant with Egor’s child.

“My father is known for talking to the press and selling stories,” Lindsay stated, while ultimately confirming that she is not expecting. “He loves the attention. Some of the stuff he’s done proves to me he doesn’t care about me.”

As for where things go with Tarabasov from this point, Lohan admits that she has tried to contact him for “closure,” but he hasn’t heeded the call, so to speak. Nonetheless, she’s looking out for herself, first and foremost.

“I know I’m not an angel, but I’ve tried to fix things,” she says. “It’s [up] to him now. There comes a time when I have to put myself first.”

Egor declined to be interviewed for this story.
