UFO Fleet Sighted Flying In Formation Over Florida Cities: Fleet Included 300-Foot Boomerang-Shaped Craft With Wingman [Video]

Multiple witnesses from several cities in Florida, including Dunedin, Odessa, Lutz, and Wesley Chapel, reported sighting a small fleet of large UFO crafts with bright lights passing overhead in the direction of a thunderstorm on the night of August 11, 2012. UFO hunters are still debating the identity of mysterious crafts four years after the sightings, with several suggestions put forward, including NOSS satellites in triple formation passing overhead in space.

But a witness denied the suggestion that the UFOs were NOSS satellites in triangle formation, saying that he observed the crafts flying below thunderstorm clouds.

The sightings, by independent witnesses in Dunedin, Odessa, Lutz, and Wesley Chapel on the night of August 11, 2012, occurred between 8:40 and 9:15 p.m.

While some details of the description of the UFO fleet differed, the witness reports agreed remarkably on several broad aspects.

A unifying element to the separate accounts was that the fleet was observed flying in the direction of a thunderstorm. The report filed with MUFON by a witness in Wesley Chapel appeared to confirm that the fleet was flying in the direction of Wesley Chapel, where thunderstorm clouds hung low at the time.

The witness at Dunedin reported sighting and filming a massive boomerang-shaped UFO, about 200 to 300 feet across, escorted by three other crafts, Open Minds TV reports.

According to the unnamed witness, in a report filed on August 11, 2012, with the Mutual UFO Network (MUFON) as Case 41685, the sighting occurred at about 8:40 p.m. while he was driving southbound with two other persons on Keene Road, north of Sunset Boulevard.

The witness said that as he drove along, he and his companions noticed mysterious lights in the sky. As the lights came closer the witnesses noticed they were coming from four large aerial objects with bright lights.

Shocked at the sight, the witness pulled over and watched the aerial spectacle in amazement. The reporting witness began filming, but the quality of the video produced by his phone camera was poor (see below).

The largest of the four UFOs, according to the witness, was boomerang-shaped and about 200 to 300 feet across. It had about four blinking lights and other lights that shone constantly.

“There appeared to be four objects. The largest was at least 200 – 300 feet across … shaped like a boomerang with three or four lights.”

The second UFO flew in a wingman position, about 20 feet to the left of the large boomerang-shaped UFO. A third UFO was seen trailing the first boomerang-shaped UFO at a distance of about half-a-mile. It appeared tethered to the large UFO. A bright white strobe was visible on the tether at a point about a third of the length of the tether away from the large boomerang-shaped UFO.

The mysterious tethered UFO had red and green lights but they were not arranged in the normal pattern of aviation lights.

“The third object appeared to be tethered to the first object and trailing by a half mile.”

As the fleet of UFOs passed overhead, the large boomerang shaped object began releasing orbs. The orbs were launched like rockets. They were dimly visible in the dark night sky, according to the witness, and disappeared within seconds of being launched.

After launching multiple orbs, the large boomerang-shaped UFO flew westward, in the direction of the orbs launched from its body. Then it turned north and flew along Klosterman Road for a while before it turned east in the direction of a thunderstorm.

According to the witness in Odessa (Case 41677), he saw a fleet of four “unknown lights hovering” overhead on the night of August 11, 2012. The lights made a “light humming noise, but no engine sound was heard.”

“The objects started moving a bit faster in my father’s general area, so I stopped recording to call him as I was losing visuals,” the witness reported.

He also noted that the UFOs were flying “directly into a thunderstorm.”

The witness in Lutz (Case 41650) also reported sighting a fleet of four crafts with bright blinking lights flying in a triangular formation about a mile long on the night of August 11, 2012.

“I saw four blinking lights. Three of them blinked sequentially and the fourth blinked out of sync from the rest,” he said. “The formation was about 1 mile long.”

He also noted, significantly, that the crafts flew “in the direction of a large thunderstorm, heading northeast.”

The fourth witness in Wesley Chapel (Case 41657) also reported sighting a small fleet of UFOs between 9:00 a.m. and 9:30 p.m. on August 11, 2011. He said that as he and his wife pursued the UFOs they met a couple with children who were also watching the mysterious formation of UFOs flying below thunderstorm clouds that hung over Wesley Chapel at the time.

Some researchers believe that the witness in Wesley Chapel gave a clue about the identity of the mysterious objects.

“After a little research, we saw that some triangle shaped sightings are simply the NOSS satellites, which have been misidentified as a UFO,” he said.

But he ruled out the possibility that the formation sighted over Wesley Chapel were NOSS satellites because he observed them flying “below thundercloud height.”
