Heath Ledger’s Family And Friends Remember: Heath’s Father, Jared Leto, Matt Damon

Heath Ledger’s father, Kim, recently revealed his actor son’s last words before he passed away. According to Metro, Heath Ledger’s last words came from a conversation he had with his sister, Kate, regarding his medications.

His sister had tried to warn him about mixing drugs that he did not know enough about. The final words of Ledger were directed to his sister where he reassured her that he would be fine.

Heath Ledger’s father spoke on the last words of his son and the conversation he had with his sister.

“The last conversation Kate had with him was this discussion about his medications and she warned him, ‘You can’t mix drugs that you don’t know anything about.’ He said, ‘Katie, Katie, I’ll be fine!'”

Heath Ledger’s father called his response “a cavalier boy’s answer,” saying that the toxic mix of chemicals must have “put his whole system to sleep.”

Shortly after that last conversation, Ledger lost his life. He died after taking a combination of several different prescription medications, and his father admitted that Heath’s death was no one’s fault but his own. But this realization doesn’t take the pain away from the actor’s grieving father, who found his son’s passing to be almost unbearable as he loved his son so much and he was so proud of everything he had achieved in his short life.

Heath Ledger created a legacy for himself after he took on the role of The Joker in Christopher Nolan’s The Dark Knight. According to Entertainment Weekly, Jared Leto used Heath Ledger’s portrayal of The Joker as one of his many inspirations for bringing the character to life in the upcoming Suicide Squad film.

Jared Leto’s performance as The Joker is one of the most highly anticipated aspects of Suicide Squad. The Joker was a character last seen in The Dark Knight portrayed by Ledger and, although he passed away shortly after filming, Ledger’s performance won him a posthumous award for the best supporting actor at the Academy Awards for the role.

Jared Leto acknowledges the greatness of Heath Ledger’s performance as The Joker, labeling it as one of the greatest performances he has ever seen in a film. In fact, Leto had the privilege of meeting the Brokeback Mountain actor during his short life and said that he was a good person in addition to being a brilliant actor. The performance of Ledger and his different take on the character from the previous actors that brought The Joker to life gave Leto the inspiration to put his own spin on the villain.

In other news, one of Heath Ledger’s former co-stars recently opened up about him. According to Just Jared, Matt Damon opened up about Heath Ledger while he was attending the premiere of his latest film Jason Bourne, held at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas on July 18.

Matt Damon spoke about working with Heath Ledger in The Brothers Grimm, and how he felt when he received the news of his passing, calling Ledger “too bright for this world.” Damon said that when he finished working with Heath Ledger in The Brothers Grimm, he was telling everyone that Ledger was the best actor he’d ever seen.

“And people were like, ‘What are you talking about? The guy from A Knight’s Tale?’ And I was like, ‘You just wait. And wait until you see what kind of a director he’s gonna be.'”

Speaking about Heath Ledger’s acting skills, he said that there was things that the Brokeback Mountain actor did on set that Damon himself couldn’t have done “in three lifetimes.” But he wasn’t all business, as Damon said that Heath Ledger was “like a puppy dog.”

“You wanted to protect him. [His death was] just f***ing pointless.”
