‘The Walking Dead’ Season 7 Preview Special Airing Next Week – What ‘TWD’ Fans Can Expect

The Walking Dead Season 7 will not air until October, but AMC is pulling out all the stops to get fans talking. It was just announced that there will be a preview special airing on the network next week. Find out when, who will be appearing, and all the details.

Chris Hardwick is the host of The Talking Dead, which usually airs after each episode of TWD. That same host is going to be leading the discussion on the preview special for Season 7. This is not the first special on the upcoming season to air. As previously reported by the Inquisitr, two other episodes were dedicated to taking a look back at Season 6 and what lies ahead for Rick Grimes and the others.

Even though fans were upset about the cliffhanger, most viewers are still looking forward to Season 7. In the first episode, the identity of who Negan killed in The Walking Dead will be revealed. There are a lot of rumors, theories, and conflicting information on the victim. Don’t worry, the preview special won’t give up that information. However, it will go into what fans can expect without divulging major spoilers.

According to The Talking Dead Facebook page, the Season 7 preview special will air on August 14 at 10 p.m. ET. One of the Saviors, Dwight (Austin Amelio) will be appearing. Also, Yvette Nicole Brown, who is a regular guest on The Talking Dead, will be showing up. She will likely have all of her notes like she usually does. Expect her to throw in some good humor along with her sharp observation skills. For those that want a chance for their questions to be asked, visit The Talking Dead‘s Facebook or Twitter accounts.

What else can fans expect on the TWD preview special? Like the others, there will be a look behind the scenes, cast interviews, and more. Since it is getting closer to the Season 7 premiere, more juicy tidbits should be revealed.

For those that missed the other specials, the cast talked about what to expect now that Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) has arrived. Lauren Cohan, who plays Maggie on The Walking Dead, asked how could thinks get any worse. Viewers that are familiar with Robert Kirkman’s comic books know exactly how bad things can get. Let’s just say that this villain is not going to go away as easily as the others. He will be around throughout Seasons 7 and 8, possibly longer.

At Comic-Con 2016, The Walking Dead Season 7 trailer was finally released. It was better than fans thought it would be. It included more than just Negan threatening Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln) and the other characters. It confirmed that Ezekiel (Khary Payton) and his pet tiger, Shiva, will be introduced early in the season.

According to AMC‘s press center, a photo of Ezekiel is described as being Season 7, Episode 3. It is not known for sure if that is the episode of his introduction, but it makes sense. Viewers shouldn’t expect him in the season premiere since that will be reserved for Negan bashing in the brains of a fan favorite character. The second episode will likely deal with the aftermath and then after that a possible solution or “savior” will be discussed.

On Twitter, fans have loaded up The Talking Dead’s feed with questions, mostly relating to who Negan killed or rants about the Season 6 cliffhanger. However, other viewers posted intriguing questions that are worth talking about. For example, how did the Saviors all meet and what caused them to become the type of survivors they are? What started Negan on his path to being a ruthless leader? Will the fan backlash from the cliffhanger make the writers change how they pen the Season 7 finale? Is Negan really evil or is he just doing what is necessary to survive in the zombie apocalypse?
