Miranda Lambert Gets Revenge On Blake Shelton With Her New Music

Until today, Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert have kept people guessing who really caused the divorce in their relationship. During an interview with Billboard a few weeks ago, the 40-year-old country superstar hinted that the 32-year-old songstress cheated on him.

His song “She’s Got A Way With Words” was about a lover who cheated and lied. Shelton may not have written the song, but he said that he won’t stop people from thinking that some of the lines were about his relationship with his ex-wife. Based on his comment, he may have just confirmed Lambert’s infidelity.

“When we recorded the vocals for some of these songs, I was only six months removed from when all the crap went down,” Blake confessed. “When you have a broken heart — at least, when I do — you got to get it out of your system. You want people to sympathize with you. I was at rock bottom, in the middle of hell.”

Despite the cheating accusations, Miranda remained quiet and instead just focused on writing music. However, people will now find out what she’s gone through in her life and relationship after her divorce from her ex-husband. The Pistol Annies member confessed to Billboard that she’s nervous as hell about the release of her new song “Vice” because listeners would finally find out about the truth.

“I hope that people are respectful of it and understand what I’ve been doing. But I’ve never hidden anything or tried to be too mysterious,” she said.

“I’m pretty straightforward in my music. I always have been, and that hasn’t changed,” Lambert explained. “With my songwriting, it’s taking a journey with what’s been going on in my everyday life – good, bad, ugly and everything in between. I feel like the right thing to do was just come out with something really honest.”

The song “Vice” has reached the number one spot on iTunes since its debut last month. The audio on YouTube already has more than two million views. Listen to it below:

Miranda Lambert explained to Billboard what her latest single was all about claiming that everybody has a vice. The songstress also doesn’t worry about the lyrics of her songs because she doesn’t hide anything. Therefore, what people hear in her songs is what they really are.

“Every record I’ve ever made has been a reflection of where I am right then in my life, however old I am. And I’ve never held back at all. But this time,” she said, “with what I happened to be going through in my life, being honest was never really a choice. Everybody knew anyway. So I just said, I’m gonna journal it, and — good days and bad days — use it for my art.”

Unlike other artists who usually fill up their album with breakup songs after going through divorce or split up, the Grammy Award winner insists that she will never have a heartbreak album. She admits that there are also sad songs in her upcoming album, but there are also old classic country and rock ‘n’ roll.

“Everybody has bad moments, and then you come out of it and you have a great moment, and then you have some somber times. I want an emotional journey, because that’s what life is, and I want to document that,” she said.

After her divorce from Blake Shelton and finding out about his new relationship with Gwen Stefani, Miranda Lambert was reportedly devastated. Thankfully, Anderson East came into her life, and she seems madly in love with her new boyfriend. She even shared a photo of her kissing the 28-year-old musician on his birthday.

The country singer may not have had a baby with The Voice coach within their four years of marriage, but she isn’t giving up on that. A few months after their divorce, sources revealed to E! News that Miranda can’t wait to have children of her own someday and having a husband again. Despite the pain of going through a divorce, she allegedly hasn’t given up on love.
