Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid have been one of the most popular celebrity couples in the world for most of 2016, and they could easily be a target for Donald Trump because they represent many specific things that he said he hated.
Of course, it is commonly observed that Donald Trump is a “hater” and the Washington Post said the media started trying to diagnose Donald Trump’s psychological health on August 1. U.S. News & World Report reports on August 5 that Representative Karen Bass is petitioning for a mental evaluation for Donald Trump.
No matter the diagnosis, his former attorney suggests Donald Trump is a bully, and if Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik became his target, there will be a pattern. According to a report on July 31 in the Huffington Post, Donald Trump’s personality was described as follows.
“His ego seems to know no bounds. When Donald feels insulted by someone, he obsesses without control. He fusses, he fumes, and he says unbelievably inappropriate things. He is in his glory when he can bully his way to a result he covets.”
One of the ways Donald Trump facilitates his inner bully is with insults, and he has several target groups. Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid did not make a recent list by New York Times of 250 people Donald Trump has insulted, but who they are and what they stand for are on Trump’s unofficial “least favorite” list.
Starting off the list, the most obvious thing Donald Trump will hate about Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid is that they are of a Muslim background and have immigrant parents. Zayn Malik is an immigrant from Britain that lives in Los Angeles. Zayn is also the son of a Pakistani immigrant to the U.K.
Because of Zayn Malik’s religious heritage and his immigrant status in the United States, he is a target of Donald Trump. Sadly, Zayn Malik shares this shunning from Donald Trump with a large number of other celebrities, according to People.
On top of this, Donald Trump would give demerits to Gigi Hadid by fostering an immigrant boyfriend to stay in America. According to a ABC News report from December 5, 2015, Donald Trump would send Zayn Malik packing back to the U.K. if he was president, because no Muslims would be allowed to enter America.
It also does not help that both of Gigi Hadid’s parents are immigrants, and one of them is a Muslim from the Middle East. Thankfully, if Donald Trump does become president, Yolanda Hadid will not be deported because she did become a U.S. citizen in 2013.
Furthermore, Donald Trump would hate Zayn Malik for admitting to having a problem with anxiety because Trump repeatedly “fired” people he perceived as mentally ill while insulting them on Celebrity Apprentice, according to Daily Beast.
Of course, Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid would be a target for Donald Trump or his supporters because they profess to hate young people.
Clint Eastwood was recently interviewed about being a Donald Trump supporter, according to Yahoo U.K. Movies, and stated the following on August 3 in regards to how Trump is appealing because his supporters despise people of Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid’s generation.
“[S]ecretly everybody’s getting tired of political correctness, kissing up. That’s the kiss-a** generation we’re in right now. We’re really in a p**** generation. Everybody’s walking on eggshells. We see people accusing people of being racist and all kinds of stuff. When I grew up, those things weren’t called racist.”
Donald Trump likely hates Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid because they are young, have Muslim heritage, and have immigrant backgrounds, but Donald Trump also seems to hate on a lot of celebrity couples, in general.
For example, Perez Hilton chronicled Donald Trump hating on Katy Perry and Russell Brand with a tweet from October, 2014, that stated “Katy Perry must have been drunk when she married Russell Brand.”
About Rosie O’Donnell, Donald Trump tweeted “I feel sorry for Rosie’s new partner in love whose parents are devastated at the thought of their daughter being with Rosie — a true loser.”
Worse, despite the fact he is also rich himself, Donald Trump would not like Gigi Hadid and Zayn Malik because they are wealthy. On February 8, Politico quoted Donald Trump stating “My weakest support is with very rich people. Isn’t that funny?… I don’t get along that well with the rich. I don’t even like the rich people very much. It’s like a weird deal.”
In the end, if a feud ever erupts between Donald Trump and Zayn Malik/Gigi Hadid, it might be centered around the fact that Gigi’s dad once battled it out with Trump — and shut him out.
Bravo TV wrote on January 4 that Mohamed Hadid, Gigi’s dad, became a real estate power player in the the late 1980s by preempting Donald Trump on a land deal in Aspen, Colorado. Donald Trump later sued Mohamed Hadid.
While it appears that Donald Trump might want to stay as far away as possible from Zayn Malik and Gigi Hadid, NY Mag suggests that the Trumps and Hadids are more alike than first meets the eye.
On May 31, they reported that Ivanka Trump dresses a lot like Bella and Gigi Hadid, and imply that they may choose the same styles due to their similar family origins. Namely, the following description could be a short biography for either Ivanka Trump or Gigi Hadid.
“A wealthy real-estate developer and an ex-model give birth to a statuesque blonde daughter who makes an early career for herself as a runway model, spending her formative teenage years posing on red carpets and hobnobbing with celebrities.”
