Adam Levine Talks Behati Prinsloo’s Pregnancy: Will He Quit ‘The Voice’?

Is Adam Levine going to quit The Voice after he and wife Behati Prinsloo welcome their first child?

With filming underway on the upcoming 11th season of the NBC singing competition, Adam Levine has his hands full with production. Soon, he will be adding a baby into the mix.

“I’m going to be a f***ing dad! I’m so excited!” Adam Levine said while chatting with Entertainment Tonight’s Sammy Hagar on August 1. “They let me make a baby! They let me make a baby!”

Adam Levine and Behati Prinsloo tied the knot in July 2014 after becoming engaged one year prior. Then, in March of this year, the couple confirmed they were expecting their first child. Although Adam Levine hinted at the news on Instagram weeks prior to the announcement with a photo of a collection of Maroon 5 bibs, it wasn’t until late in March, following an Us Weekly news report, that he shared the first photo of his wife’s baby bump.

Adam Levine also gushed about his wife’s baby news during an appearance on The Tonight Show in April.

“[I’m] super excited,” Levine told host Jimmy Fallon, via a UPI report on August 2. “[Behati] is good. She’s eating a lot of watermelon. Like, you know, because you get random cravings for stuff, and it’s just like, so much watermelon.”

Since announcing her pregnancy, Behati Prinsloo has frequently shown off her baby bump on social media and in Los Angeles, where she and Adam Levine recently purchased a home. She has also been seen spending time with her fellow pregnant model Candace Swanepoel.

In one of Behati Prinsloo’s latest Instagram posts, the Victoria’s Secret model showcased her baby bump (and her feet) in the bathtub. A few months ago, she was seen with Swanepoel.

“Still can’t believe me and my African sis are expecting at the same time…So many good times together and so many more to come. LOVE YOU,” Prinsloo wrote in the caption of the photo.

Earlier this week, during the Television Critics Association press tour session, NBC Chairman Robert Greenblatt discussed Adam Levine and Blake Shelton’s ongoing roles on the show.

“They love doing the show and they love the paycheck,” Greenblatt joked, according to a report by E! News.

According to Greenblatt, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton’s bromance is a big draw for viewers.

“If I can compare it to a scripted show, you kind of have your series regulars that you love. They are always hugely popular whenever we do testing and we’ve done a fair amount of that over 11 cycles,” he explained. “We think they’re the pillars of the show and then we have this revolving family of Gwen, Pharrell, now Miley and Alicia joining the pack.”

Throughout the past couple of seasons, cast members have come and gone, including Christina Aguilera, Gwen Stefani, Shakira, Pharrell William, Ceelo Green, and Usher Raymond. However, throughout the entirety of the series’ run, Adam Levine and Blake Shelton have remained consistent.

In May, during an interview with Kathie Lee Gifford and Hoda Kotb on the Today show, Shelton addressed her role on the show and claimed that despite rumors of his potential exit, he has no plans to leave The Voice.

“I’ve heard many rumors that I’ve been fired,” Shelton admitted, adding, “I don’t plan on going anywhere. I’d like to stay there as long as I can. Of course I’m going to stay there!”
