Bradley Cooper Bumped Off Jennifer Lawrence’s Co-Star List For Films

Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence are not starring in her next film together, according to reports. While the two Hollywood actors have amazing onscreen chemistry together, the producers may be sensing that the public is getting tired of them co-starring in films together.

For Jennifer Lawrence’s next project, it won’t be Bradley Cooper, but Joel Edgerton who will be her new romantic interest.

“Joel Edgerton is in early talks to join Jennifer Lawrence in Red Sparrow, an adaptation of the Jason Matthews espionage novel at Fox,” reports Deadline. “Francis Lawrence is directing. Justin Haythe rewrote a script by American Hustle scribe Eric Warren Singer.”

The script writer for American Hustle, in which both Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence starred in, decided to pick the 25-year-old star and not the American Sniper actor. She is the Oscar winner, after all!

Red Sparrow takes place in Russia and tells the story of state intelligence officer Dominika Egorova as she gets “drafted against her will to become a Sparrow,” a trained seductress in the service, played by Jennifer Lawrence. She gets “assigned to operate against Nathaniel Nash, a first-tour CIA officer who handles the agency’s most sensitive penetration of Russian intelligence,” who will be played by Joel Edgerton.

But it’s no wonder that Jennifer Lawrence found a new onscreen partner as the 41-year-old actor has been attached at the hip with his girlfriend, Irina Shayk. Now that he has entered his early forties, he might be feeling the pressure to settle down with a woman.

During James Corden’s show, he revealed that he was near Philadelphia visiting his mother with Irina when he dropped by the Democratic National Convention, which caused some backlash from Republicans.

“I was not expecting that,” Bradley said. “Republicans were up in arms that I was there watching the president speak.”

Perhaps more importantly, the actor was making his rounds as a good son to ensure that his mother gets used to the idea that he is completely in love with Irina Shayk. He has spent weeks in Italy with his girlfriend, spending most of their time in skimpy swimming suits and PDA-ing all day long under the Mediterranean sun.

The Oscar-nominated actor and Irina Shayk are becoming more and more public as a couple, attending galas and A-list parties together.

“On Tuesday they attended the Paris Vogue Foundation Gala in complementing black outfits,” reports the Daily Mail. “And on Wednesday, super-chic Irina Shayk and Bradley Cooper continued to turn heads as they headed to watch the Wimbledon tennis championships together, the two putting on a very sweet display as they snuggled up in the stands. The 30-year-old model and her 41-year-old actor beau looked every inch the handsome couple as they arrived at the star-studded venue to watch Andy Murray play Jo-Wilfried Tsonga.”

According to many news reports, the couple seem to be totally in love with each other as they take walks in cities like Paris, Los Angeles, and New York together.

“Bradley Cooper and Irina Shayk still looked to be in the first flushes of love as they walked hand-in-hand after a workout session in Paris,” reports the Daily Mail. “Despite their busy schedules the pair make time for their relationship and travel across the world to be by one another’s side.”

As for Jennifer Lawrence, she has not had a steady boyfriend since things went sour between her and Coldplay singer Chris Martin. Before that, she had a relationship with Nicholas Hoult, whom she met on the set of X-Men, but they have parted ways after having totally contradicting schedules.
