Jinger Duggar and Jeremy’s Vuolo’s relationship will be the main focus of Season 2 of Counting On, and you can bet your bottom dollar that the Duggars and TLC are hoping that their courtship and engagement will give the show a big ratings boost. Numerous reports say that a Counting On promo making the rounds shows Jeremy proposing to Jinger, but did TLC really spoil a big moment that it can tease all season long to keep fans tuning in week after week? The answer is no, but TLC has already revealed one big spoiler about Jinger Duggar and Jeremy Vuolo’s engagement.
“Jinger Duggar’s Fiancé Jeremy Vuolo Proposes in New Jill & Jessa: Counting On Promo” an Us Weekly headline reads. “See the Moment Jinger Duggar Said Yes to Fiancé Jeremy Vuolo,” People writes. Both of these reports are accompanied by a video that shows 28-year-old Jeremy, a former professional soccer player who now preaches at a small church in Texas, asking 22-year-old reality star Jinger a question. The aforementioned headlines assume that Jeremy is about to propose to Jinger, but the video cuts before he can complete his query.
“It’s really been a privilege for me to get to know you,” Vuolo says in the Counting On promo. “I wanted to ask you if you would …”
The purpose of the teaser is obviously to get Counting On fans to tune in to the show to see what Jeremy Vuolo asks Jinger Duggar, but unfortunately for the reality show’s newest star, it’s inadvertently making him look like an unimaginative suitor.
“Jeremy Vuolo’s proposal to Jinger Duggar was a bit underwhelming,” SheKnows writes of the TLC promo.
Counting On viewers likely expect to see Jinger’s fiancé popping the question in a memorable way because Jill Duggar Dillard and Jessa Duggar Seewald’s husbands both planned special proposals for their wives that were tailor-made for reality TV. As People reports, a country singer serenaded Jill with a custom-written song about her relationship with Derick Dillard when he asked her to marry him, and Ben Seewald sent Jessa on a scavenger hunt for his elaborate proposal.
Duggar fans probably think that Jinger Duggar deserves a proposal that’s just as romantic and creative as her older sisters’ were, and they shouldn’t be dismayed or disappointed after seeing the video above; Jeremy isn’t asking Jinger to marry him in the promo. TLC has already shared photos of Jeremy popping the question on bended knee, and he did so on the rooftop of a building in New York City.

As The Inquisitr previously reported, Jeremy is familiar with NYC because he played soccer for the New York Red Bulls, and it’s possible that he chose to propose to Jinger in the Big Apple because she once expressed an interest in living in a big city. During an episode of 19 Kids and Counting, Jinger divulged her desire to someday leave her family’s small town in Arkansas to live in a bustling metropolitan area. However, as Radar Online reports, her mother made it clear that she would never allow her daughter to live in New York City.
“New York City is way above what we would ever consider a city where she should move!” Michelle Duggar said.
Perhaps Jeremy Vuolo whisked Jinger Duggar away to NYC to propose to her because he’s aware of her dashed dreams and thought that she would find his choice of location thoughtful and romantic. However, Jeremy and Jinger likely won’t end up living there because Jeremy is currently the pastor at a church in Laredo, Texas. Still, if Jeremy remains in the south Texas city with his wife, it will likely feel like living in a big city to Jinger; the population of Laredo, which is around 250,000 people, is about 100 times greater than that of Jinger Duggar’s hometown of Tontitown.
