‘The West Wing’ Cast Reunites For Political Ad

Have you missed the cast of The West Wing? Well, if you have there’s some good news: You can get your fix in a quick video. The cast reunited in the heart of election season to voice their collective opinion in a small video.

The video which is titled “Walk and Talk the Vote” sees Martin Sheen, Allison Janney, Bradley Whitford, Richard Schiff, Joshua Malina, Mary McCormack, Janel Moloney, Melissa Fitzgerald, and Lily Tomlin back in action to support Bridget Mary McCormack, a non-partisan candidate for the Michigan State Supreme Court. Although they aren’t commenting on the primary election, the ad does talk about how important it is to vote non-partisan. Missing from this politically relevant video is fan favorite Rob Lowe, who played Sam Seaborn for the entire run of the show.

The West Wing, created by Aaron Sorkin who’s now better known for his work on The Social Network film, ran from 1999 to 2006. The series was set in the West Wing of the White House with Sheen playing President. At the time the show had no problem exploring real issues within society, covering many of the same issues the Bush administration had to deal with but from a Democratic point of view. The show in its hay day appealed to both Republic and Democratic parties, bridging the gap, at least on prime time television.

Did you enjoy seeing The West Wing cast together, or did you find the ad to be unnecessary?
