Gwen Stefani And Blake Shelton Source Claims Getting Married Is A ‘Priority’

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton may be engaged by the end of this year.

According to a new report, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have been discussing plans for a potential marriage for months, and later this year, they will both have some free time to plan their possible wedding.

On August 3, a source spoke to Us Weekly, revealing that once Gwen Stefani wraps her tour and Blake Shelton completes his Season 11 duties with The Voice, “getting married is a priority.”

“He hasn’t been this happy in years. They’re both in this for the long haul,” the source explained.

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton began dating last October and went public with their romance on November 4. Hours later, the couple enjoyed their first public outing as a couple at an after party for the 2015 Country Music Awards, which Shelton’s ex-wife, Miranda Lambert, also attended.

At the time of their relationship confirmation, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton were starring alongside one another on The Voice Season 9 and during Season 10, Stefani was welcomed back to the show for a mentor role. Also during Season 10, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton performed their emotional duet, “Go Ahead and Break My Heart,” for viewers.

“They say things like, ‘When we get married’ all the time,” the Gwen Stefani source noted. “They have plans for their future together and have talked about where they will live and the possibility of more children.”

As for Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton’s plans for a baby, the source said Shelton would be “OK” with having children of his own or continuing on with his step-daddy-esque role with Stefani’s three sons, Kingston, 10, Zuma, 7, and Apollo, 2. Meanwhile, Gwen Stefani is said to be determined to give Shelton a child of his own.

“She’s actively trying to have a baby with Blake,” the source alleged.

“[Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton] are not engaged yet,” a source close to Gwen Stefani added to People Magazine. “Everyone is expecting it to happen at some point, though.”

“It seems the timing [for an engagement] just hasn’t been right,” the source explained. “But Gwen is very, very happy with Blake. She always acts giddy when she talks about Blake.”

Currently, Gwen Stefani is in the midst of her This is What the Truth Feels Like Tour, which continues into the fall, and Shelton recently began filming The Voice with new co-stars Alicia Keys and Miley Cyrus. However, while the two have been quite busy with their careers, the source claims the country singer makes an effort to stay “in very close touch even when they’re both traveling.”

“There are no immediate plans for their future, but it’s a serious relationship,” the source added.

As Gwen Stefani continues to see success while on tour and with her new album, Shelton is said to be completely supportive of his girlfriend’s career endeavors.

“Blake has been very excited for her. He understands the pressure of a tour before it all kicks off, and he is [Gwen Stefani]’s biggest fan,” the source said.

“Their relationship is almost too good to be true,” added the Gwen Stefani source. “They are very much alike and really have a very special relationship. All the things that need to work out for two people to merge lives have worked out.”

Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton have been facing rumors of a possible engagement since their relationship began, but so far, they appear to be taking their time as their career duties increase.
