Jacqueline Laurita On Not Having Any Money: ‘We’ve Done Everything We Can’

Jacqueline Laurita decided to return to The Real Housewives of New Jersey this season, and many people speculated that she was struggling financially to make ends meet at home. It’s no secret that Laurita and her husband have spent thousands of dollars to get their son extra help as he has been diagnosed with autism. Plus, Jacqueline made headlines during her time away from the show for struggling with the IRS and owing taxes. Many felt that she was very vocal about her dislike for Teresa Giudice’s legal problems, but it appeared that she had struggled with money problems as well. Rather than ignore these issues, Laurita has decided to open up about her financial issues.

According to a new tweet, Jacqueline Laurita is now revealing that she is open about the lack of money in the home because it makes her much more relatable. She says that by opening up about her financial issues, people are coming out to support her. It’s no secret that she and her husband have tried to sell their home several times in hopes of downsizing, but they haven’t been able to sell it for the price they want.

“Thank you! Always have been. When you’re open, people will relate & connect with you, as well offer advice & support,” Jacqueline Laurita revealed on Twitter recently, sharing that she has no regrets about opening up about their financial issues.

“The last two years have been challenging for Chris and I financially, because it takes time to build a new business and profit from it, especially in order to continue living the lifestyle we’ve been accustomed to living while meeting all of our financial obligations,” Jacqueline Laurita revealed in her Bravo blog for The Real Housewives of New Jersey this week, revealing that her husband works hard to make things work for the family.

During the episode, Chris revealed that he was launching a new line of popcorn snack that is kid-friendly. He hinted that he needed this to work because it was his last resort. He had invested all of the money he had into this product, which was chemical free. Laurita revealed that his son had inspired him to focus on healthy snacks. And Jacqueline Laurita has expressed full support for her husband.

“After my husband lost his company during that rough economy, it took some time for the decrease in income to catch up to us. We were also not prepared for the cost of raising a child with special needs. No matter what financial challenges and obligations we’ve faced, Nicholas’ needs have always been a huge top priority for us, and we’ve done everything we can to not disrupt his routine. Somehow, during our struggle, we have managed to stick it out and keep fighting to get through it,” Jacqueline Laurita explains in her blog, sharing that they could live without money for a while, but that they are struggling a bit these days, according to Bravo.

In her blog, Jacqueline does point to some of the things that her husband has previously worked on, including the clothing line he owned a few years ago that resulted in bankruptcy. She also reveals that the BLK water he launched with Chris and Albie Manzo is still in production, but not making the kind of money he had hoped. But Jacqueline is convinced that Chris will be able to find a solution.

“My husband is a hard worker, and he will continue to build and sell more companies in the future. It’s what he is passionate about. He may win some, he may lose some, but one thing is for sure…he will never give up!” Jacqueline Laurita explains in her blog for The Real Housewives of New Jersey, according to Bravo.

Are you surprised that Jacqueline Laurita is so open about their financial issues? Do you think the kid-friendly popcorn business is a money-maker?
