Vicki Gunvalson Says Several Good Things Came From Breaking Up With Brooks Ayers

Vicki Gunvalson has struggled to gain her friends back after the Brooks Ayers cancer scandal last year. While Vicki did admit to fabricating some stories in regards to Brooks on The Real Housewives of Orange County, she never really admitted to what she did wrong. And her co-stars, including Heather Dubrow and Meghan King Edmonds, really want her to take accountability for her actions. Rather than owning up to her mistakes, Vicki is playing innocent, and she just wants to apologize and then move forward. And one of the reasons why her co-stars may forgive her eventually is him being gone from her life.

According to a new E! Online report, Vicki Gunvalson is now revealing that plenty of good things have come from her breakup with Ayers. Gunvalson can now attend parties with her co-stars without them wondering whether Brooks will be causing trouble. Gunvalson is now able to talk to the ladies, even though they are still skeptical of what she knew. And most importantly, Gunvalson has a stronger relationship with her daughter, Briana Culberson.

“The best part about Brooks and I ending our relationship is I have my daughter back 100 percent,” Vicki told the cameras during Monday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County, according to E! Online, adding, “If I had stayed with Brooks, Briana would have never move back to the OC. Now that he’s gone, I’ve got my family back. Thank god!”

Of course, things were tense between him and Briana for a long time. When Briana moved to Oklahoma, she had no interest in visiting her mother in Orange County as long as she was living with Ayers. She would come to Orange County, but she wanted to live in a hotel room rather than live with Gunvalson. This didn’t sit well with Vicki Gunvalson, who just wanted everyone together in her home. Now that he’s gone, Briana is more than willing to visit. In fact, she made the decision to move back to Orange County so she could get proper healthcare.

Many of Vicki’s Real Housewives of Orange Countyco-stars have been very vocal about their dislike for Ayers. Heather Dubrow and Meghan King Edmonds have revealed that they simply don’t believe that he has cancer. In a separate interview, Meghan admits that she may have pushed a little hard for the truth while filming the show last year. But since she knew someone who was fighting for her life, she thought it was downright rude if he was indeed lying about cancer.

“I think people think that I was a little overzealous, and maybe I was,” Meghan King Edmonds has revealed about the cancer drama last year, according to Reality Tea, adding, “But it really sucked to be dealing with cancer, with my friend LeeAnne dying of cancer, and to see this guy Brooks, this sleazeball trying to profit off of cancer with Vicki.”

Even though Vicki Gunvalson did drunk-dial Ayers on last week’s episode of the show, it doesn’t sound like he’s coming back on The Real Housewives of Orange County. Maybe he’s concerned that his illness will be highlighted again. As for Edmonds, she has no plans of ever working things out with him, especially since she’s lost a friend to cancer and there have been legal threats between them.

“I will never forgive [Brooks],” Meghan King Edmonds reveals about her relationship with Ayers, adding about Vicki Gunvalson, “I’m honestly shocked at how everything went down with Vicki as this season progresses. You’re gonna see reconciliation and see it go backwards again.”

What do you think of Vicki Gunvalson’s comments about her daughter? Do you think it was right for her to break up with him?
