Prince Harry’s dating life is ever the subject of media headlines, and just when old rumors of a new lady in his life die out, there seem to be fresh tales that crop up to be stamped down. Earlier this year, Harry was speculated to be dating pop star Ellie Goulding and was even falsely linked to Pippa Middleton, the sister of his brother’s wife, Kate Middleton.

Harry has since spoken of the paranoia he feels about even carrying on conversations with young women for fear that the press will drum up a story that he is now in a romance with whoever the woman may be at the time. Well, new stories are being churned out about the young Prince, and this time the supposed romance is with an heiress and divorcee.
The Greek Reporter shares in regards to these new claims that indicate Prince Harry has struck up a relationship with Greek heiress, Athina Onassis. The divorcee is an heiress to the Greek tycoon Aristotle Onassis and has reportedly found comfort with Prince Harry since her tumultuous split from her husband of 10 years, Alvaro de Miranda Neto.
The publication reports that citations surrounding the topic of Prince Harry’s apparent new flame come from sources who are very well acquainted with the British royals. Descriptions about Harry’s role in helping Athina through the hearbreak, paint him to be a knight to a damsel in distress, as noted by the outlet.
“He may have no shortage of female admirers, but Prince Harry appears to be? a sucker for a damsel in distress – providing a shoulder to cry on for his pal Athina Onassis in the wake of her heartbreaking marriage split.”
Details about the reason for the split between Athina and Avaro indicate why the break up has been such a devastating one. Onassis reportedly broke off the decade-long marriage from de Miranda Neto when her security team relayed to the heiress that they had walked in on him engaged in a one-night stand with the sister of an international equestrian, while in their home in Wellington, Florida.

Although Prince Harry has made it known that his eventual intention in life is to settle down and have a family, he has also emphasized the fact that he is not actively looking. However, the Prince and Athina have been spotted in each other’s company over the course of the last little bit, and the Brit has reportedly been acting as the beauty’s support.
The two have known each other for years now, seeing as Athina is a regular in the international equestrian set, allowing the companions to cross paths. They also have various mutual friends. As Celebrity Dirty Laundry points out, Athina is likely not looking to settle down so quickly since experiencing such a terrible end to her marriage, yet Harry does have quite a lot of pressure on him to settle down, like his older brother. The ongoing issue that Harry has faced when dating women seriously is that they are not used to, or ready for, the public spotlight.
Perhaps Athina Onassis would be the perfect match for Harry, seeing as she comes from a wealthy family and is used to being in the spotlight. The heiress is familiar with media scrutiny and likely would not get thrown or shy away from being part of a match that had public appearances and tabloid headlines attached to it constantly.
Onassis may even be a more prepared fit for the role of British royal than Harry’s sister-in-law, Kate Middleton, seeing as the Duchess came from a more humble background and has had to get used to the media circus that surrounds her and her family on the daily.
