Scarlett Johansson Marriage Crisis: ‘Homesick’ Actress To Leave France Without Husband To Focus On Career?

Scarlett Johansson’s marriage with Romain Duariac is beginning to crumble, and it’s all down to the awful living arrangements that have the actress deeply missing her family and friends.

According to Celeb Dirty Laundry, Johansson made the daring move to relocate from the United States to France, where her husband had been residing before he even decided to date Scarlett. And while the Lucy star was down with the idea of living in a new environment, making new friends, and learning a different culture, the 31-year-old has found her the arrangements boring and lonely.

The outlet alleges that Scarlett Johansson is struggling to settle down and make friends in the neighborhood. She’s been living out in France for quite some time now and still hasn’t managed to fit in with a group of people she would consider her good pals.

On top of that, Scarlett acknowledges that she’s a mother who constantly has to fly back-and-forth from Paris to Los Angeles just so that she can commit to her work duties. Films such as The Avengers are all filmed in Hollywood, meaning that Johansson would evidently have to fly out of the country multiple times a month just to juggle her career with motherhood and being a wife.

“Scarlett has been trying very hard to adapt to his life but feels like she is being asked to make all of the changes. She misses living in the USA,” CDL reveals. “She misses her family and friends and wants to come home. However, he made it clear from the start that he would not be happy moving to America. She doesn’t know what to do and is feeling very isolated.”

As the source mentioned, Romain made it clear from the beginning that he doesn’t have much of an interest in moving out to America, particularly Hollywood, where the couple is bound to be bombarded with photographers invading their privacy. Scarlett’s husband likes his peaceful and private life in France but sees where problems are beginning to erupt.

While there’s no word on whether this has triggered Scarlett to consider the idea of possibly getting a divorce, she supposedly knows that she cannot continue to try and please her child and her husband while trying to upkeep her hectic schedule as a working actress.

Living in America would make things much easier for several reasons, one of them being that Scarlett has lots of friends and family members living in Los Angeles. As the source reveals, the actress is out of her comfort zone in France, and while she has tried to make the living arrangements work, she’s still finding the whole situation depressing and unsettling.

As Celeb Dirty Laundry adds, Johansson knows that her “Hollywood career depends on her accessibility and availability, and living in France has definitely dampened her chances of further success in the industry.”

Scarlett recently signed on to reprise her role as Black Widow and has reportedly agreed to star in an upcoming spin-off with the same title to her character in the franchise. In other words, Johansson’s schedule is beginning to fill itself up rather quickly. The long-distance journey to work is beginning to become tiresome for the mother of one, to the point where moving back to Los Angeles could potentially see the actress’ marriage come to an abrupt end.
