Dakota Johnson Eats Sweets After Leaving Jamie Dornan And ‘Fifty Shades Darker’

Dakota Johnson was caught indulging in sweets after she wrapped filming Fifty Shades Darker with Jamie Dornan. She is now back on the West Coast, hanging with friends and eating desserts that she missed out on when she had to shoot scantily clad scenes for the movie.

The 26-year-old movie star is taking a break before she dives into work again, investing this precious down time on friends, self-care, and, of course, eating desserts.

“She’s enjoying a well-deserved break after wrapping the last two films in the Fifty Shades franchise,” reports the Daily Mail. “And on Monday, Dakota Johnson and a gal pal treated themselves to some frozen yogurt before hitting up a store for a few groceries in the Los Feliz neighbourhood of Los Angeles. The cup was so small, however, it must have been a sample.”

It looks like she couldn’t let herself totally go by ordering a full scoop of ice cream!

Back in Los Feliz, she is surrounding herself with friends, who aren’t necessarily famous like her. In her most recent Instagram update, she posted a picture of her friend Emily celebrating her birthday.

Dakota Johnson does have a flair for throwing surprises for her friend’s birthdays. When Jamie Dornan turned 34 on the set of Fifty Shades Darker, she filled his trailer with so many balloons that he had to dig some out before he could get in.

Since the filming period for Fifty Shades was over three months long, they had a lot of time to bond. She had gotten so close to Jamie’s family that she even went on lunch dates with his wife, Amelia Warner, and wasn’t afraid of going topless while changing her bikini on the set in the south of France.

Perhaps best of all, Dakota got to see Jamie Dornan’s the award-winning bum first-hand during the more intimate scenes. She must count herself lucky!

“Co Down hunk Jamie Dornan has come runner-up in the search for male Rear of the Year,” reports the Belfast Telegraph. “He was narrowly beaten to the top spot by fellow actor Tom Hiddleston, who has dominated headlines with his new love interest, US popstar Taylor Swift.”

Now that Jamie has returned home with his budding family of four to England and Dakota has ventured to the West Coast, fans only await the release of the Fifty Shades sequels.

Just because she is eating ice cream and hanging with friends doesn’t mean that Dakota Johnson is out of work. She has plenty of movies lined up, the most notable being Under the Silver Lake opposite Andrew Garfield, The Sound of Metal with Matthias Schoenaerts, and Suspira with Tilda Swinton, according to the Daily Mail. All of these movies feature some of Hollywood’s brightest stars, which means that she is looking to get more recognition for her acting skills.

To celebrate the end of filming Fifty Shades Darker, the 26-year-old actress treated herself to a serious makeover, chopping off her brown locks and getting a dye job.

“[T]he brunette changed the game for what a modern mix of brown and blonde should look like by lightening her hair with the dopest of dye jobs,” reports Refinery29.

According to some rumors, the actress may be trying to avoid unwarranted flirtations from Jake Gyllenhaal, her ex-boyfriend.

“Jake Gyllenhaal is reportedly determined to win ex-love Dakota Johnson back,” reports the Belfast Telegraph. “The Hollywood couple went their separate ways five years ago, but have apparently reunited for a romantic date following Dakota’s split from boyfriend Matthew Hitt.”

From the looks of it on her Instagram and spotting in Los Feliz, Dakota seems more than happy to be focusing on herself.
