Miranda Lambert Talks ‘Vice’ As She And Boyfriend Anderson East Face Pregnancy Rumors
Miranda Lambert recently released her first post-divorce song, “Vice.”
Over one year after the 32-year-old country singer parted ways with Blake Shelton, she released a telling track about pain, and now she’s opening up about the song. During an interview with the Tennessean, via CMT News, Miranda Lambert spoke of the emotional place she was in when she penned her latest chart-topper.
“I wrote this at the exact time of the s**t hitting the fan,” Miranda Lambert recalled of “Vice,” which she co-wrote with Shane McAnally and Josh Osborne. “I think it’s great, though. It’s documented on paper with emotion.”

“Everybody has a vice of some sort,” Miranda Lambert explained. “Sometimes when you’re going through something in your life, you may run to some things you shouldn’t and run from some things you shouldn’t. I think this song is an opportunity to just be honest and own it and say, ‘Yeah, I have some imperfections, and I live a life and here and there I might get in a pickle.’
“There’s no mystery here. I run to things for comfort just like everybody else.”
In “Vice,” Miranda Lambert sings about stacking vinyl records filled with heartbreak songs that she’ll play twice and deems alcohol as “sweet salvation on a dining room table.” As the song continues Miranda Lambert touches on a number of vices, including heartbreak songs, booze, leaving, and another life with another bed, before looking in the mirror and admitting she’s lost.
“Don’t know where I am or how I got here/Well the only thing that I know how to find/Is another vice,” she sings.
As for her upcoming album, Miranda Lambert noted the compilation as a “personal project.”
“It’s no different than any other record I’ve made, except my story changed a little. My platform has always been, ‘Be honest, say what you want to say.’ That’s no different on this record,” she explained.

In other Miranda Lambert news, she and her boyfriend, Anderson East, were recently faced with rumors of a pregnancy.
“Miranda Strikes Back At Blake: Revenge At Last!” reads the cover of the latest issue of Life & Style magazine, according to a report by Gossip Cop.
Miranda Lambert has “outdone her ex and his new love when it comes to romance, career, fans and, in the biggest bombshell of all, baby news,” the source revealed. “There are whispers that Miranda is pregnant with boyfriend Anderson East’s baby.”
According to the report, Miranda Lambert’s ex-husband, Blake Shelton, would be completely devastated and angry if she were to start a family with another man. As the source revealed, Shelton’s “greatest wish was to have a baby” with Miranda Lambert during their marriage.
“For Miranda, it’s the ultimate revenge at last,” the source alleged.
Meanwhile, as Miranda Lambert and Anderson East were said to be preparing to welcome their first child, Gwen Stefani and Blake Shelton were said to be “frustrated” that the former No Doubt singer has been unable to get pregnant herself. However, despite Life & Style‘s claims of a pregnancy and “sweet revenge” a rep for Miranda Lambert informed Gossip Cop that the singer was “not pregnant.”
Miranda Lambert and Anderson East began dating at the end of last year and confirmed their romance with fans and followers on Instagram in January.
Miranda Lambert’s new album is expected to hit stores sometime this fall.
