Jordan Rodgers’ Feud With Brother Aaron Shaded By JoJo Fletcher, Fans Say Big Brother Still Wins

Jordan Rodgers has a lot to live up to when it comes to his Super Bowl-winning big brother Aaron, but he can check “reality TV winner” off of his list. Jordan Rodgers was the winner on ABC’s The Bachelorette, and his prize is an engagement to JoJo Fletcher. But that doesn’t mean Jordan is not still standing in his estranged brother’s shadow.

On the live After the Final Rose special, Jordan and JoJo made their public debut as an engaged couple. But host Chris Harrison couldn’t resist getting into some of the Rodgers family drama, so he asked Jordan if anything has come of his rift with his famous brother. While Jordan tried to dodge the question, JoJo revealed she still hasn’t met Aaron — and she doesn’t really care to.

“It’s the same situation that it’s been,” Fletcher said of the Rodgers family rift. “It’s not the focus for us right now.”

Of course, Harrison played devil’s advocate and pressed the issue by saying: “Hopefully we can create two relationships out of this – and hopefully Aaron can make it to the wedding!”

“We have to pick a date first,” Jordan shot back.

Jordan Rodgers’ estrangement from Aaron had been a focus on this season of The Bachelorette after JoJo asked her suitor about the Green Bay Packers quarterback and he admitted that they don’t have much of a relationship. But it wasn’t until Jordan’s hometown date that JoJo discovered just how deep the rift between the brothers actually is.

While he has been mum on the topic for months, Aaron Rodgers recently addressed Jordan’s stint on the ABC reality show. ESPN posted a video of Aaron admitting that he doesn’t watch his brother on The Bachelorette.

“I haven’t seen the show, to be honest with you, so it hasn’t really affected me a whole lot,” Rodgers told reporters at Packers training camp. “As far as those kind of things go, I’ve always found that it’s a little inappropriate to talk publicly about some family matters. I’m not going to speak on those things, but I wish him well in the competition.”

While the brothers don’t currently speak, people are already comparing Jordan’s relationship with The Bachelorette star to his brother Aaron Rodger’s relationship with actress Olivia Munn. And the consensus is Jordan still can’t live up to his big brother.

While social media can be brutal, another major shade — this one given by The Bachelorette producers themselves — was Jordan and JoJo’s engagement “gift” from the show. On most seasons, the new couple is sent back to the exotic island or foreign land where they became engaged (in this case, Rodgers proposed to Fletcher in Thailand), but for some reason, producers are sending them back to a resort in western Pennsylvania. It’s a pretty place, but an odd choice considering their first trip there was dominated by guy drama.

All season long there has been much speculation over Jordan’s relationship with JoJo. Critics have said he only signed on to The Bachelorette to further his career in sportscasting — indeed the one-time Vanderbilt quarterback recently landed a job at SEC Network — but spoiler king Reality Steve hints that JoJo could have been a bit star struck by Rodgers’ lineage as well.

“JoJo is more of a, I don’t want to call her a Dallas socialite, but I think she’s tapped into the Dallas nightlife scene here and I know she has friends that are athletes on professional teams out here,” the Bachelor blogger told Guide Live. “Luke [Pell] wasn’t for her. Jordan — former athlete, younger brother of Aaron Rodgers — seems way more up her alley.”

While Jordan is still being compared to Aaron, it doesn’t sound like their family feud will be resolved anytime soon. Jordan recently told Katie Nolan’s Garbage Time Podcast that while he has a relationship with Aaron, “it’s complicated.” It will be interesting to see if Aaron shows up for his younger brother’s wedding to JoJo. If it ever happens, that is.
