The game of thrones has begun, and South Korean actress Song Hye-kyo is currently at the second position. As of Tuesday morning, the top slot for Goddess of Asia is occupied by Chinese actress Yang Mi.
The Descendants of the Sun star Song Hye-kyo is competing against hundreds of graceful women for the Goddess of Asia title. The final results will be out on September 5, and fans will get to know which lucky lady gets to wear the crown.
Social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram are swarming with contest posts, requesting fans of Song Hye-kyo to vote for their favorite princess.
The Goddess Of Asia contest is now on Round 3. So far, Song Hye-kyo has grabbed the second spot. She is followed closely by two equally charming South Korean stars — Song Ji-hyo and Im Yoona. It remains to be seen if Song Hye-kyo will grab the top spot in the battle of the beauties.

The next round, which will be held on August 6, will shortlist 20 beautiful women. This will be followed by two rounds on August 20 and September 3.
UPDATE: Song Hye-kyo is now No.1 with 1477632 votes.
According to Chinese website nvshen.ddyule.cn, the top 10 will be featured on the cover page of a top Chinese magazine, in addition to having the status established across all of Asia for the year.
Song Hye-kyo stands a chance to win the Goddess of Asia crown this year. The actress’ career skyrocketed when she played the adorable doctor Kang Mo-yeon in the South Korean military drama Descendants of the Sun.

The style and charisma displayed by Song Hye-kyo in the K-drama stole the hearts of millions of fans not only in Asia, but across the world. Song Hye-kyo became an embodiment of Korean beauty when young women across Asia started surfing the supermarkets for lipsticks, clothes, and accessories that the actress sported in Descendants of the Sun.
For the ever-beautiful Song Hye-kyo, age is just a number. Although the actress is 34, she is youthful, energetic, and oozes an angelic charm.
In an interview couple of years ago with K-Drama Stars, the actress made it clear that age is the least of her worries.
“Honestly, I do not care about my age. To me, age is not that important,” said Song Hye-kyo, who is currently riding on the success of Descendants of the Sun, which became a global phenomenon.
Spilling her beauty secrets to Malay Mail a few months ago, Song Hye-kyo said, “I think using anti-aging products really helps; the sooner the better, you know?”
“My mother told me it’s better to start using anti-aging products even at a young age. Especially since I’m an actress and I’m constantly under stage lights or exposed to a lot of sunlight,” said Song Hye-kyo.
For the past few years, several reports circulated on the Internet, which pointed fingers at Song Hye-kyo for undergoing a plastic surgery. The actress, however, has firmly denied these allegations. Nevertheless, she has admitted that she did visit the dermatologist for skin treatments, a report by K-Drama Stars stated.
After the conclusion of Descendants of the Sun, the actress is taking things a little slow.
Song Hye-kyo recently inaugurated the Prada store in Hong Kong. The Descendants of the Sun actress made it quite evident that she is enjoying her life.
When asked what she does during breaks in between projects, the Descendants of the Sun actress said that she loves to travel. “I love to travel so I visit a lot of places. I recently went to Jeju-do, a beautiful Korean island, with some of the staff members. I also love New York, Paris, and Italy, so I tend to travel to a lot of places with friends when I’m not working,” Song Hye-kyo told SCMP, offering no hint of her next project.
While we are not sure what Song Hye-kyo’s next project is, what fans could hope for The Descendants of the Sun actress is to grab the Goddess of Asia crown.
