Ariana Grande Has Her Eye On Justin Bieber After Ricky Alvarez Split?

After her recent split from boyfriend Ricky Alvarez, a report surfaced, which claimed the “Dangerous Woman” singer was courting Bieber. However, the rumor has since been deemed as “wrong” and “stupid.”

Last week, a Celebrity Dirty Laundry report claimed a “Bieber connection” with Ariana Grande has “been swirling for some time now.” The report, via Gossip Cop, went on to claim that fans of both singers were “practically salivating at the thought of seeing the two canoodle on the red carpet at the upcoming MTV Video Music Awards.”

Although Bieber has been known to flirt with Ariana Grande from time to time, most recently in her comments section on Instagram, Gossip Cop‘s source has shot down the report, claiming that while Ariana Grande is newly single, she is not pursuing a romantic relationship with Bieber.

Ariana Grande and Ricky Alvarez dated for about a year before Grande began hinting at their split in a series of messages to fans on Twitter. In her tweets, which have since been deleted, Ariana Grande spoke of “change” and being “free,” but didn’t say what her messages were in regard to.

As for why Ariana Grande called it quits with Alvarez, a source last week claimed the 23-year-old singer was hoping to get a fresh start in all aspects of her life.

“[Ricky Alvarez] was a part of the old Ariana [Grande]. She has done a full overhaul on friends, relationships and how she treats people. It’s like she has seen a light and doesn’t want to be the headache she once was — she likes the new start of everything,” a source told Hollywood Life.

Prior to her relationship with Alvarez, Ariana Grande dated rapper Big Sean for over a year, and after her split from Alvarez was announced, she was linked to Mac Miller. While it is unknown whether or not anything is actually happening between Grande and Miller, the two were spotted together at Disneyland last month, which immediately sparked rumors of a romance.

Now that she’s single, Ariana Grande is said to be channeling her heartbreak into success with a new breakup-inspired track.

Ariana Grande “has gone into the studio to pour her heart into a breakup track,” since splitting with Alvarez, 24, on July 27, a source explained to Hollywood Life. “It was her decision to be single and she is sad but also energized to get her emotions out into her work. She has spent the morning in the studio laying down some new tracks about love and loss.”

Following her split, as the outlet revealed, Ariana Grande told fans on Twitter that “Life is wild,” and added that, “life is f***ing fantastic!”

According to the Hollywood Life report, Ariana Grande’s upcoming heartbreak track won’t be the first song inspired by her now-ex-boyfriend, Alvarez. In fact, her album’s opener “Moonlight” was inspired by their former relationship and very “first kiss.”

“He waited to kiss her for a long time, and she was really impressed. He’s such a gentleman, and the song is a great little bookmark of the start of their relationship,” a source previously told Hollywood Life.

In addition to telling Ariana Grande she looked really good in a video shared to her Instagram account, Bieber has also been flirty with Grande publicly. In April of last year, during a concert in Los Angeles, Bieber was seen wrapping his arms around Grande and laying his head on her shoulder.
